the more you get to know them or deal with them the less you like them.

what a strange and ugly culture.

My Hungarian grandmother hated them with a passion. They would steal her chickens and the clothes she had hanging out to dry back "in the old country".

These numbers only have a meaning to the average hall chair filler. If this brings them some sort of joy at this time of year that's ok. Give it time..........discouragement is rampant at most halls.

Good JW Growth for 2007

dear all,.

i don't see that anyone has commented on the 2007 report.

i must say i was surprised with the impressive growth, not only worldwide, but in the developing countries which have seen some decrease in the last few years.

No offense to the honesthearted ones who attend the halls (there are a few), but no matter how many turds end up in the toliet bowl it's still a bowl full of turds.

Just talked to Witnesses at my door for Hour about Watchtower Child Abuse

it happened again like in july when i talked to an elder and his wife about child abuse, but this time i got a hold of rank and file members who fortunately i was able to play like a fiddle as they had no idea what they were up against here.

so brother middle age ex-hippie convert ( as he told me later ) and sister middle age hair in a bun offered me the awake on death or our view of death.

i graciously accepted gaining their trust saying yes, i had close loved ones who had died over the years but didn't know if i believed in a resurrection or hereafter.

Hopefully they will have the courage to come back Flipper.

When I was pioneering the thing to do would have been to mark you down on the do not call list or "danger elders only" list.

The real story: Is your congregation stagnant, dwindling or thriving?

with the 2007 service year stats out one could be forgiven for thinking that wt's problems are over, the child abuse settlement an itch in their bethel backside and the blood issue a minor annoyance.. if the truth were known, it is probably that more often than not, congregations are in decline, attendance is poor and few new recruits are not already jw family members.. so, if you know how your congregation is doing, if you have the pulse of your hall, let us know.. .

my congregation (which shall remain nameless).

dwindling attendance at all meetings (around 80%).
