Give me a reason not to go back

been out now for 10 yrs but life is a mess.

starting to think its because i have no spiritual compass.

why shouldn't i consider going back?.

My life was a mess while I was in and I was a servant.

After I got out things didn't get much better for lmost a year.

Then, one night while I was reading a bible (Not the NWT) I opened it up to Romans chapter 8 and read it.

That is when Jesus rescued me from my sins.

My sins had kept me alientated from Him because I had been taught almost all my life that it was wrong to pray to Jesus.

After I prayed to Him something immediately happened that is indescribable.

Since then I have enjoyed personal contact with Jesus and He is there for me 24/7 365.

The problem people have is being humble enough to tell Jesus that they are sinners and can't fix that no matter how hard they try.

Another problem is that most people believe they have to be part of the herd and all that does is give them somewhat of a social life but it still doesn't fix their sin problem.

You say your life is a mess.

It will stay a mess even if you go back to the kingdom hall because you will be trying to please God by adhering to a huge list of rules and regulations which no one can live up to.

If you can't resist the temptation go back to the kingdom hall but let God's grace wash over you through a relationship with Jesus and you will know peace like you've never known before.

we got called into the dreaded back room after meeting to find two elders wanting to discuss a 'serious' matter with us.

Not invited to my nephews wedding

knew that this would be the case - so not surprised.

quite happy to not go - as i would not like to see my mother / or my big sister at all.

this nephew is my small sisters son - my small sister and myself are very close - she does not go to the meetings anymore for quite a while now, her eyes have been opened.

Honesty

It's just a little taste of what the 'new system' and paradise will be with all that JW love hanging in the air.

Only then it will be invites only to those who have achieved much closer perfection.

Brother in law thinks I am a pagan Worshipper

last month i decided to attend the international convention at metlife since my sister's cong was invited so she took me along with my older brother.

my sister drove and my older brother sat in the front seat of her suv.

i was in the back seat with the greatest watchtower apologist/loser/eldermole in the universe my bil.. they were all chatting away about how this assembly filed with regurgitated spiritual stool was a sign of the last days since so many people would be in attendance.

Come on, doesn't everyone know that everything is satanic and demonized except for the Watchtower magazine.

i have quite a big group of friends who were all in the cong together when we were teens.

about 75% of them stopped going or were df'd right after high school.

it is a varied group; a couple are staunch apostates, some dont care one way or another, and another handfull are fully "worldly", but still believe it is the truth.

Honesty

Officially out for almost 10 years.

Never will go back to that trash.

However, the draw of famly ties are too much for some and if they go back to the Watchtower's trash they get their family ties again.

It's not worth it to me, though because I accept my family the way they are even if they call me nasty names because I don't believe anything those 7 old bastards up in NYC dream up on the 6th floor of bethell anymore.

Those scriptures are too much of a theological nightmare for the 'faithless and disturbed slave' to highlight or even barely mention in their religious comic books.

years ago, when i was studying with the witnesses, my bible studty conductor's sister in ohio died.

of cancer as i recall.

so he flew back to ohio ( from san diego ) to be with his family .

Sure, we have.

Soon, God is going to murder every evil person who rejects the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witness AKA the 'faithful and discreet slave' so why should Jehovah's Witnesses feel emathy for any nonJW who dies, either from natural causes, disasters or as a victim of crime.

They all worship satan if they aren't Jehovah's Witnesses so f&%k 'em.

the following e-mail is circulating among jws about the international convention at fedex stadium in landover, md.

note the all-too-familiar jw claims: everything they do (including the simple act of parking cars) is proof of jehovah'stm blessing, and everything wt did at the convention was the fastest, greatest, best ever.

oh, and the never-fails-to-get-mentioned alleged 'persecution'/resistance from some unnamed authority who tried to get in watchtower's way and hamper the effort...but jws prevailed anyway (as always):.
