We should have a who's related to who thread on the board!
Hehehe, yeah, that would be a good idea. But then again it would probably get lost over time.
Added: Oh, and hi back...I did respond to your post in the other board.

http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=5509435 don't know who's in it, where it is, or when it happened but thought you all might get a kick out of it.

The world is all of a sudden a much better place.
<Takes deep breath in...> A-H-H-h-h-h...can you smell the fresh air...so much peace in here. Glad I could add to the PEACE in the world.. Ok, NOW I'm scaring ME...so I think I'll quit now.
looks like a good place to start, maybe you guys can help me figure out what to do with my extremly messed up family.
my family are either jws or were at some point.
im sure you can see why this leads to a completly disfunctional family.
I've come to realize that children are much smarter than many give them credit. The chances of them becoming a JW are very low since you are behind the scenes showing them the truth about the organization. Dave (AA) and I had these concerns too when we first came out. We were putting down rules and saying to my parents what the could or could not say. But, it wasn't working out. JW's are in the "saving" mode and feel like they need to save everyone...including their grandkids. But after thinking about it, Dave and I realized that we have them 99% of the time. So when they get to grandma's house, if she wants to try to teach about the "paradise"...that's fine. And if grandpa wants to pray to there god Jehovah, that's fine also. Because we can then show our kids the hidden truths about the org.
As far as becoming Atheist...or into other religion. IMHO, let them explore. If you start "forcing" them your religion...or any religions, they'll only rebel and become what you might not want them to just to spite you.

i have found a lot of people no longer believe in god or jesus since leaving the organization.. im very shocked at this.
if you dont believe, can you tell me what brought to that conclusion?.
i was told to look at the thread that one of the members in this forum has created, they are very interesting, but i wanted to get a some feed back from different individuals.. thanks!
I hear ya Freedomfrog. My boyfriend was just reading with me what you wrote, if you don't mind my asking, and you don't have to answer, but do you practice Wicka?
Actually, I'm fine with anyone wanting to know. I use to be "scared" of telling my beliefs...but, I'm becoming more comfortable with my beliefs because they are just that...mine. So, I even tell my beliefs to my "still JW" mom, hehehe. Actually I consider myself an Eclectic Pagan. Though, I do tend to lean more towards the Native American ways such as Shamanism. But still, I don't follow all of their beliefs because parts of it doesn't fit with what makes sense to me.

Well, it depends on what you mean "do you still believe". Do I still believe there is a "All Powerful" creator...the answer would be no. Do I believe that Jesus is God...no. Do I believe the bible to be inspired by God...again, no.
I do believe in Gods/Goddess. The reasons for both is because of the "balancing", like day/night, black/white, evil/good. But I feel they have limits and are not "All Powerful". Sometimes they get involved...sometimes not, it's up to them. I do feel that there is a spiritual realm and those are the people who have died and have evolved beyond human thinking and living. And then from there others are more evolved from them. Like going up a ladder. Right now, we're on earth to learn something. We just need to find out what that is. But I feel that once we have learned what we need, then we can "evolve" to a higher being. If we haven't, we may need to "repeat" this life over again (reincarnation). And yes, I do feel that all of us will "understand" what we are meant to learn...eventually.
But then again, I've only been searching for 2 years at what I really believe in. Part of that search and not knowing all (like the Dub's seem to feel) has been fun, like an adventure. And my "beliefs" changes as I grow more into my spirituality. I am very religious, but not into the "man-made" religions. I do connect with the Higher Powers (Gods/Goddess) because currently, I do feel they are there, and if we are "loud" enough, or make ourselves known, they then will connect to us through dreams or visions. Anyway, those are my beliefs, and they are meant for me. I think each person needs to form their own religion, if you know what I mean.
i had a really weird dream last night.
in my dream, i was in an old house, spying on three men in a bathtub through a cracked door.
they were just bathing, but in my dream i was thinking they were gay.
Ok, from a prospective point of view from a Shaman's beliefs....here's my thoughts.
Dreams are a way for us to learn from. To sort things out. The more colorful and detailed, the more they may have messages in them. I'm a firm believer that symbols, colors and feelings are trying to teach us something. Normally from our spiritual guides or power animal spirits. Now, it's up to the dreamer to find out what needs to be learned.
For example: For weeks now, my dreams start out with dancing with a green faery. One with silky soft beige wings. Then it progresses up going inside a tree and I float up (within the tree) as high as it goes to the last branch. There I meet a big crow and I climb on his back and then explore. After these dreams, I'll go and meditate. Normally the dream becomes clear to me and what the message is. For me, my dream was telling me I need to become more grounded, or connected to Mother Earth. Feelings of longing to lay in the grass and soaking up the sun has been becoming overwhelming now.
My advice is try to meditate. Also, I'd record this dream. Record as much of details you can remember. Smells, feelings, color and such. Sometimes when you go back later...like a week later, the "message" becomes more clearer.
Anyway, that's my opinion.
starting a new thread so that everyone can find the link.. this is the video of the elders trying to act smart stupid.
http://www.savefile.com/files2.php?fid=5509435.
they will keep the file as long as it is downloaded once every 14 days.. enjoy
I can't believe anyone would feel sorry for the two elders. These two elders come to this dude's house to shit on him and he's suppose to stand there at take it? Wow.
Well, I do feel sorry for them because they seem like nice people. Just under the "drug" of the Watchtower. And they don't realize that they are on this "drug". So, I can see where a person feels sorry.
i have posted the video of df announcement in flash-format on watchtower information service.
in the main thread about this video i noticed that several people couldn't watch the video.
the flash-format has cross browser and platform compatibility.. you can find the video on the following url: .
Teeheehee,
By the way, I'm Nature71 on that board. It's been fun responding to the non-JW's. I felt that these people also need to see what JW's are really like. Not many people that have never been JW's understand to what extent JW's hide. And it is my hopes that I can warn ones to be careful so they won't fall into the traps of that oraganization. Sure, I may get "caught". But it's a price I'm willing to pay to help others in the long run.
i don't mean this as an insult, more of a life experience thing.
i saw a lot of people leave in my years there and a lot were angry with the religion and the people, and some even protested the kingdom halls and wrote things in the newspapers.
a lot though, came back in time, as it was just the comfort zone they felt at ease in.
But in the final analysis, the people who leave and move on are people who know who they are and what they want, and set out to get it.
I think this is a good point. You have to rediscover who you really are. Not what you were suppose to be or act. The ones that can achieve that, I feel, will be the ones that can move on and be happy.
I've seen ones that are DF'ed come back many times, but the ones that have decided to come out because of their research, they are the ones that can't return to the lies. Yeah, sure, some may, but how long will it be when they become "inactive" again. It's hard to continue something when you have proven it to yourself that it's lies.
For me, I can't see ever going back. Though, I never was a "good" JW. I was inactive quite often. Very depressed and hated everything about it. I have family in as JW's, but they have their beliefs, and I mine. And once I discovered the truth about that religion, it's like any other high controlled groups to me. You see the JW's in a different set of eyes.
