  after the battlefield that the last thread on this subject turned into, i'm almost afraid to post this, but it would be nice to see how many of you i might expect to see this weekend.. wnfj is the original ex-jw convention; this weekend (oct. 18-20) will be the 24th year.it is definitely christian in orientation, and features, music, prayer and talks on a variety of topics relating to jw's and biblical christianity.

  Arrogance Beyond Belief

  all down through history, men and women have stepped forward and proclaimed that they clearly understand bible prophecy.

  they've all been wrong.

  that's supreme arrogance.. but in the last one hundred years, men of the watchtower have stepped forward and proclaimed that they not only clearly understand bible prophecy, but that they themselves clearly are bible prophecy being unfolded.. they are the latter day fulfillment of noah, abraham, moses, elijah, elisha, ruth, esther, naomi, isaiah, jeremiah, ezekiel, nahum, zephaniah, habukkuk, zechariah, john the baptist, the apostle john and the good parts of the revelation.

  Need help finding a book

  i'm looking for a book, i can't remember what it's called, but i have the old one called "aid to bible understanding" (a big, blue, hardcover book).

  i think the current one is a set of two books, dark brown or black if i remember right.

  i had studied with jw's for a time but i just don't believe in the org.

  If you are close to Pennsylvania, you could come to the convention this weekend. Wilbur Lingle has some old WT books for sale. I got the WT - CDs from him for $15.00.

  Hi Ashitaka,

  It is Christian centered.

  How was it for you guys?

  Really, for me it changed my life. I had lost almost all of my family. I now feel most of those several hundred people I have met there, are family to me.

  If you do not care for the religious part, just enjoy the fellowship with people who have been where you have been, and will show you unconditional love.

  Thanks Valis,

  An ex-jw recommended two books, "Who Wrote the Bible" and "Portrait of Jesus" I ordered both of them through Amazon. I was later told one was sent to the wrong place and would be sent to me when they got it back, something like a month ago. The other one, I was told, they no longer had.

  I will try the one you posted.
