Parents' scare tactics

those horror stories that parents tell their children to keep them from doing something annoying or potentially dangerous (e.g.

"your face will stick that way).

It is very necessary for parents to pass on the more important things, like your quote from Bing Crosby. If parents did not do that, their children might even be drawn to heavy metal. We know where that could lead.

I have never heard anything like that!

My mother told me when I was very young though that if you crossed your eyes (kids did that sometimes back then) that your eyes might freeze that way.

My Grandmother (English) thought that if you drank coffee your skin would turn black. She drank tea, figure that one out.

Simon, When TV was fairly new, 1950s, they said that the TV gave off radiation, and that it was best not to be too close.

Another Family With JW Ties Murdered in Oregon

a father killed his family and them himself.

this happened in mcminnvile, oregon just outside of portland, oregon.

Just checking in once more before getting ready for work.

Sorry, I forgot what those comments were I was thinking about making.

I would like to make it to your group but I doubt that I will be able to. The trip to Pinecrest is going to be expensive for me this year. We are going to stay on the coast for 2 1/2 weeks this time. We are traveling all over, beaches, Las Vegas, and wherever else we want to go. I need to save lots of money.

But, I will try, if I can make it, I will.

I like to visit you foreigners sometimes.
