  Were you ever counselled over wearing brand name clothes?

  did any of you hear ever recieve counsel for wearing brand name clothes, such as t-shirt logos, designer sneakers etc?

  have you noticed in the wt and awake!

  publications, no one ever wears levi's, baseball caps or sneakers?

  Notice that a lot of these haunting stories tend to happen at night when people are in bed sleeping. They have done sleep studies on people and have found that the human brain is capable of producing all sorts of strange experiences. When you are asleep your brain goes into a dream state. Sometimes something can go wrong and you can "wake up" yet not fully be awake and think that you see something. What you are experiencing is actually hallucination not a demonic haunting.

  You ever get that falling feeling right before you fall asleep? That's something your brain does, you're not actually falling through the mattress or floating in the air.

  I believe that normal sleep disturbances coupled with the JWs high level of stress and anxiety helps contribute to so many of these demon stories.

  i'm not really a neat person.

  but there are things that i am very anal about.

  Devices like... when walking into a room and turning the light on, the switch always has to be turned on and off an even number of times?

  That's what my husband does. He always has to lock the car door four times. He can't do anything unless it is an even number of times.

  Salvation thru Christ or Organization?

  some believe that jesus christ is the salvation.

  others have opinion that the organization is the salvation.

  where is the truth?

  I would say that the vast majority believe that the only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ. There are some bad churches but I believe that they are the exception rather than the rule. My church teaches that it doesn't matter what church you attend, as long as they are Christian. That would exclude JWs, Mormons, and the Unity church.

  Crazy Californian Witnesses...

  i dont know if you guys noticed or not.

  but there is a general consensus among my friends and some witnesses that i talk to that there is something almost inherently wrong with californian witnesses.

  (i'm on the east coast) .

  I attended a congregation in California for about a month and everyone there seems pretty straight-laced.

  Growing up in Maryland I heard several stories about wife swapping. There was even an incident where several couples were involved and they had the whole thing on video tape! The elders of course had to review all of the tapes to see what sins were being committed.

  Can a JW be disfellowshipped because of "Materialism"?

  You only have to consider the limo's in NY.

  Do the governing body members ride around in limos? I'm shocked, I always heard how humble they were. I remember when Fred Franz graced our assembly hall with his magnificent presence and everyone was talking about how humble he was for arriving in a regular car. Of course, no one said anything about the 15 member posse he had traveling with him.

The Smurfs are tool that Satan uses to lead our precious young ones away from Jehovah's blessed organization. The time is at hand! Armageddon will soon be upon us! To save yourself you must follow all of our rules including:

  • Destroying all smurfs
  • Boycotting demonic Smurf movie
  • Running to the nearest Kingdom Hall
  • Attending every meeting to hear propaganda God's word
  • Devoting at least 10 hours a month to spreading propaganda preaching the good news
  • Donating generously to the brainwashing worldwide work fund
  • Shunning anyone who realizes we are full of crap is an evil apostate

  Do these things and maybe, just maybe, God will have mercy on you and save you from everlasting destruction.

  You can add excessive drinking to the list also, unless, of course, you are R&F.

  My brother-in-law is a complete alcoholic. He drinks constantly, has huge parties and gets smashed. We house sat for him one time and found whiskey bottles hidden all over the house. We even found one stashed in the water closet.

  He would never be counseled for it because he is friends with all the right people and DFing him would mean that the JWs would no longer be able to enjoy the big parties at his luxurious home.. Whatever congregation he goes to, he always manages to become best buddies with the elders. Of course, most of his elder friends are alcoholics too.
