  Do you find any value in attending the occaisonal meeting?

  do you still attend the occaisonal meeting with your believing family members?

  if so, do you find any value in what's presented?

  i still attend the occaisonal sunday meeting with my believing wife in an effort to show my respect for her feelings and my willingness to be tolerant.

  If you had cancer and you got rid of it, why would you ever voluntarily want it back? The meetings are like a disease and going back after getting rid of it's deadly and hateful attitudes and teachings makes no sense at all.

  do you still think jws still call it, "book study conductor" or "congregation servant"?

  or do you still say, "jws sell books"?

  do jws take blood or don't they?

  You don't have to have a new "blood card" issued every year (January), you just keep the one you had from last year unless there are things that need to be changed on the card ( address )

  from what i can see, it's the "lack of love" that gets people to realize the witnesses don't have the "truth" after all!

  Easily lack of love, selfishness, cruelty, lack of empathy, whatever you want to call it. This is a very tiring thing to be a part of.

  I really believe for the average jw that it isn't so much about it being the ultimate truth but it is a life, a life that is excepted by everyone that they know. Their parents, friends since the age of conception, etc.. So, it is much more to do with their little tiny uncomplicated world that the average jw cares about the most. The fact that it is the truth or not I believe comes in a far second place. Without this world, for most, they believe that they will cease to exist.

  Hey, What is, hang in there! Your search for truth, meaning, etc. is going to be a rather convoluted journey. I now know that things I always considered "absolutes" aren't. Between two distant poles of Black and White, there exists a great deal of Grey.

  I couldn't agree more. Life is 99.9% grey. I don't expect to find any absolutes in this world but then again for some reason I or anyone else are not supposed to know. If we were supposed to know we would have by now.

  Until that time comes live, learn and enjoy.

  The average JW only hopes against hope that somehow this "roll of the dice" will turn out to be correct.

  I have heard this said on many occasions and it was only from the ones that were honest with themselves, which is very rare indeed. That goes to show me that even though they call their religion "the truth" many when reality hits have to conceed that there is a chance that it might not be. I mean what really is truth? No one really knows.
