That tub in the floor at Melton has been since they built the place... Ok for 2 or 3 but everything gets saturated if there are many more... everyone can sit in their chairs and eat lunch and watch the dunking!

Another thought... 10 of us could read a Phantom comic. Then someone in the group could ask a question. Based on the information that we are given in the comic, we could then do our best to answer the question. If the majority of us agree on the given answer from the comic, then that must be the answer. Holy Spirit has now spoken...the channel!!
We could then claim to be the spokeman or channel on earth between God, the Phantom and the rest of mankind.
This could take on!!!!!

They don't claim to be "divinely inspired" if they were actually channeling God, it would be a different story too! The apostles may have channeled or been high on LSD, but this so call governing body don't do this. I remember that it all comes down to a popular vote, the "ayes" have it!! No channeling there!
Wish they did channel...Arcturians, Pleiadians, Orion Council.... anything but Annunaki jehovah...or enlil or.....

Deleted Elders?
by Farkel ini knew about elders being "deleted" and have commented what a strange and pejorative term that is, but it wasn't until "wtwizard" and "designs" commented on another thread about it that it actually hit home for me.. one cannot step down as an elder with any dignity!
elder's can't quit, with the word "quit" being as in "he quit his job.
" elder's can't resign as in "he resigned as chairman of the board for xyz corp.".

When I gave up being an elder, they just announced that I was no longer serving as an elder. No need to get upset, it was what I wanted. They thanked me for all my fine work blah blah blah... could still do whatever I wanted, but chose not to run mikes etc. I gave plenty of fill in talk for the school for a while...that just confused people about me "stepping down". I didn't realize that because it was my choice, I could have nominated at anytime in the ensuing 6 months that I could have taken back my gum and badge and chose to be an elder again!!...not that I would have wanted to, we were trying to fade.....

Potential Life and Death Issue for Faders?
by M*A*S*H inplease excuse if this topic is duplicated elsewhere.
however i had not thought of the issue highlighted in the article from the point of those potentially fading before.. https://www.the-newshub.com/general/life-or-death-for-former-jehovahs-witnesses.
so what happens when a medical emergency arises?in the event you face a medical emergency in which you are incapacitated, jw elders and family show up to produce legal documents that will allow them to take over your medical care including withholding blood to cause your death.

We have told our Doctors and also the Hospitals in the local area that we have changed our personal stance as far as faith and the medical use of blood is concerned and that we would be happy with the treatment necessary to save our lives including blood! I did savor the moment of putting my blood card through the shredder!
The Doctors and the Hospitals noted the change on our records.

Loud Fence [s]
by geevee inhi all, whilst i have been a member of this forum since 2004, i have slowed down in my visits and comments.
i have called in to ask if there has been any discussion on the "loud fence" campaign that is to be seen vividly around our home town of ballarat victoria australia?
there are many catholic institutions around this town that have had ribbons of many colors looped onto their fences in support and acknowledgment of child rape/abuse and also as survivors.

Well the ribbons lasted for 3/4 of a day, then some suit cut them off! No surprises there really, shows the depth of compassion that this lot have for "victims/survivors of child rape.
Here is a link to the local campaign : https://www.facebook.com/loudfence/ this explains the concept and how well it is received. Interesting that the catholic church ARE prepared to leave the ribbons up and the jo hoes cut them off and they are supposed to be god's chosen ones!
We will try again, next time more ribbons and more helpers!

HI All, yes we did it, and yes they probably won't last long. But hey...it does say something locally and the poor sap who has to get them off would realize it, even though they will say it is satan's agents fomenting persecution and it is time to lift up the heads blah blah blah.....
We know we did it, and may even take another run with more helpers, ribbons and even press! we will see, but thanks for the interest.

I think that you have missed the point. We don't give a continental about sydney bethel, but it does say something to the community and to anyone considering them as an option. It also highlights the issue to the community in general as the dubz seem to always come off trying to look squeaky clean.
The survivors of this kind of abuse need to know that there are some who are on their side!
Bethel [house of god..what a joke] can do as they like...

HI All, whilst I have been a member of this forum since 2004, I have slowed down in my visits and comments.
This seems like a way to show support to them and their families, perhaps lighten the negative energy that overawes the institution and at least allows the survivors to know that the community support them, even though what has happened can't be changed, perhaps and surely as a community we can do better, be more vigilant.
So... my question is related to this. Have or does anyone think that this is something and someway we as former [mostly] members of the jw's could show our support to those victims/survivors of our titanic?
Thank you...
