  hi all, whilst i have been a member of this forum since 2004, i have slowed down in my visits and comments.

  i have called in to ask if there has been any discussion on the "loud fence" campaign that is to be seen vividly around our home town of ballarat victoria australia?

  there are many catholic institutions around this town that have had ribbons of many colors looped onto their fences in support and acknowledgment of child rape/abuse and also as survivors.

  I think that you have missed the point. We don't give a continental about sydney bethel, but it does say something to the community and to anyone considering them as an option. It also highlights the issue to the community in general as the dubz seem to always come off trying to look squeaky clean.

  The survivors of this kind of abuse need to know that there are some who are on their side!

There are many Catholic Institutions around this town that have had ribbons of many colors looped onto their fences in support and acknowledgment of Child rape/abuse and also as survivors. This seems like a way to show support to them and their families, perhaps lighten the negative energy that overawes the institution and at least allows the survivors to know that the community support them, even though what has happened can't be changed, perhaps and surely as a community we can do better, be more vigilant.

  So... my question is related to this. Have or does anyone think that this is something and someway we as former [mostly] members of the jw's could show our support to those victims/survivors of our titanic?

  we are happy to report to you that we are tired of waiting around for jehovah to do his his whole "armageddon thing" and have instead taken steps to expedite the end ourselves.

  A lot of big corporations DO sell off their property and then lease it from the new owners. Maybe we could all chip in a few bucks and start buying k halls from them and lease them back..... ;-)

  After reading that letter, I can honestly say that IF and that is very unlikely, but IF we ever went back, we would have to learn the whole JW thing over again. It is so completely different, that one would be totally lost!

  For an organization that claim to speak for god, even though he doesn't actually speak through or even to them [as they say, they are not...NOT divinely inspired] yet their word is as the word of god, they have been caught well and truly on the back foot, and even though they know it and have known it for 10 to 15 years or more, they refuse to get up to speed on this issue, even though the so called false religions of the world who are supposedly guided by satan are way out in front and will apologize and compensate and pay for proper psychiatric care fro victims.... The leadership duck and dodge and throw up smoke screens and will only move IF it becomes law here in Australia.

  mr stewart has uncovered enough evidence of the horrors of this process set in motion by a bunch of lunatics suffering from a messiah complex and so the findings of this inquiry will will mark a beginning in the infrastructure of this institution being limited severely by laws of the land.

  i'm sure new legislation that will be forth coming will be tackling this major problem head long.

  It does highlight many other issues that some churches are dealing with apart from paedophiles, women in roles of responsibility, and what about some young sister who has "slipped" up and "sinned"...she will still have to face an inquisition on her own infront of three men?
