Your parents are perhaps confused and it’s to be viewed next week. 💡
If so, that presumably means they missed the meeting today. 😃
where are the convention videos for saturday?
my parents are starting to panic as the videos haven’t been posted on jw org yet and they are supposed to view this morning.

i'm a reporter working on a series about michael jackson.
part of this series will look at his life as a jehovah's witness and his relationship to the faith.
i've already spoken to a few ex-witnesses and one elder who have explained jw 101 beliefs and teachings.
The most extensive public sources for the JW experience of The Jackson family and Michael Jackson is LeToya Jackson’s books.

Although be warned she does sometimes contradict herself.
interesting remark i overheard today.
the physical attendance for the sunday meeting, in my local area, was 10. i tried to find out those on zoom.
i was told that the zoom attendees wasn’t mentioned.
Wow that’s a big drop.

He talks as if the idea that he was forced out of the basement by his in laws would be some wild ‘conspiracy theory’ that some people might come up with. But at this point it’s the fact he’s been allowed to stay there for as long as he has that looks like it needs explaining.
It really doesn’t seem as though he is planning on giving up any time soon. Unfortunately he may just be able to ride this out. He’ll be pointing out that people like Leah Remini and Paul Grundy haven’t abandoned him and he will be looking for new recruits fresh out of Watchtower to perform various unpaid roles on his channel again.
I still think he is inflating his Patreon number somehow though, so that might still play out because that might save face for a while but it’s not sustainable in the long run.

I remember reading that appeals are only possible in cases of disfellowshipping not disassociation. Is that right?

Definitely ongoing shenanigans with the Patreon numbers …
Yes

I’m a connoisseur of churches, at least pre pandemic. I’ve not been to anything called an “atheist church”, exactly, but the nearest thing is probably the “Sunday Assemblies” that have spring up in various places.
There are more than a few atheists in Unitarian churches (particularly New Unity, in London) probably a few at Quaker meeting houses, and a few spiritual atheist types in very liberal churches such as the Episcopal church (Richard Holloway being an example).
Many Unitarians would describe themselves as agnostic or deist or some other non traditional theist position falling a bit short of outright atheism.

Thanks Las Malv for the explanation 👍

I’m not going to spell it out exactly, in case he reads this thread, but it seems glaringly obvious to me what kind of videos he makes that are popular and those that are not popular. What’s amazing is how few he makes of the popular variety and how he keeps “churning out” (as he puts it) the least popular kinds of videos at an increasing rate.
