It’s like the old joke -
Man comes home two hours early to find his wife in bed with another man.
“What have you done!” He shouts.
“Don’t change the subject”, she snaps back, “why do you never arrive at the time you say you will?”

My initial response was one of anger. In a flurry of tears and screaming I tried to wrench the phone from Dijana. Then, as reality slowly dawned, I realized she had every right to know that the man she had married and made so many sacrifices for was a messed up person with serious issues.
It seems in character that he would be abusive in a situation like this and he is trying to minimise it (fewer “tears” and more “screaming” in reality) by appearing “reflective” about it. What a nightmare of a person to be around. When he does wrong it’s you who is at fault - the exact same manoeuvre he has attempted over the past year on anyone who has objected to his behaviour. The fact that he downplays his abuse (fake tears and all) does indicate that he is aware of how it would look from an outsider perspective. So he’s probably fully aware of what he’s doing over the past year too.

Quote from LE: “Our sexuality is who we are”.
I wonder what other people think, but I’d rather say sexuality is (and gender) an important part of who we are, it doesn’t encompass everything about us, as the statement would seem to imply. Maybe he’s giving a bit of himself away there also by focussing on sexuality rather than gender, in that comment, and in the interview as a whole.
I find the whole topic very confusing to begin with because I personally have never had any inner conflict about either gender or sexuality, so it is difficult for me to relate to or understand the issue. I can see that for some people it clearly is an issue and can be a source of a lot of suffering. I don’t know what the answers are because it’s very complicated, but I don’t think LE is going to crack that nut, or given his history that his intervention is going to be anything other than disruptive and/or damaging.

Whenever he gets somebody on his channel now I have to wonder: is this someone who doesn’t know LE’s history, or is this someone who knows and doesn’t care? I doubt Dijana includes it in whatever information she sends out when booking someone.

Yes I think anyone leaving WT is well served by this forum because it exposes LE for who he really is and helps them avoid getting tangled up with him. 👍 As you say it’s a good resource on Watchtower history and policies - much better than the superficial treatment in LE videos.
we all know that despite many scriptures to the contrary, jw's believe that when they die, their consciousness will cease.
my question is this: what will be the likely reaction of jw's if they find themselves conscious after death?.
I’ve been trying to work out how metaphysical idealism and the teaching of JWs on the soul and afterlife can both be true. It’s not easy, or apparent to me how they can be reconciled. I think a JW expects to wake up immediately in the new system, so initially they might believe that’s what happened. Indeed, maybe it could be what happens! If consciousness is fundamental then maybe we become part of the cosmic mind again. Again I don’t know how this reconciles with JW teaching, or with the Bible, but I think life is a huge mystery anyway and I don’t know if it will be revealed to us in the end or not. But the JW conception of paradise I do like because it’s what we’ve been striving for since the garden of Eden - whichever form it took historically.

He’ll be really sad if he has to let Dijana go? What on earth is he talking about? Whether she “goes” or not, he still has to pay for his kids. Or does he have other ideas?
Perhaps the other members of “Ipsilon Media” should get together and get rid of him, since he is the liability here, and probably the easiest to replace too.

He really is in a bind. It’s clear he absolutely hates doing videos about Watchtower now but he needs the money. What can he do? The plan seems to be to do as little on the channel as possible, hope patrons don’t notice too much, and keep collecting the money for as long as the suckers pay up. Some of the patrons are complete diehards at this point. Even if he posted a video openly mocking the patrons still sending him money for doing next to nothing, some of them would still stick by him. He is never going to turn down free money, so even then he’ll probably keep the payments coming in, long after his circus show of a channel has packed up and closed entirely.

You’ve got to admire the sheer chutzpah of the rat. Ha!
i used to have a large-ish novel collection but my current collection is scaled-down because i was forced to move back to bolton 4 years ago and didn't have enough room for them all in my suitcases.. i currently own just 9 novels.. salem's lot (stephen king).

Jo Nesbo is my favourite in terms of crime fiction. Another Norwegian author I liked is Gunnar Staalesen, whose books are set in Bergen. But I don’t read fiction often. I recently read Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy, which is amazing but difficult. I’m going to try to read The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky too.
