Convention Videos: Someone messed up royally

when i first saw the video, i was like, "wait... is that her... panties showing through the dress"?and it seems like it is so.turns out that if you look at the middle right of the video, there are some letters.
it reads, "footage provided by pond5".if someone wants to purchase that video to confirm, you can purchase it here:http://depositphotos.com/63621499/stock-video-violinist-girl-walking-through-a.htmli think that this was a royal mess up because i doubt they would put footage of a sister in a skimpy, revealing dress.doesn't the gb approve this?this will probably go down as another of the "subliminal images"...if there are thongs in paradise... might not be so bad after all!.

Help - I'm going to be conducting the watchtower study
by Saltheart Foamfollower init looks like i'm going to have to take the watchtower study for a while so i thought i'd seek help.. i wont be outing myself or stating anything too controversial, but so far i have come up with the following tactics : 1) ask questions which will get people thinking even if it is about something insignificant - developing a questioning mind is the key to discovering ttat as far as i am concerned.
2) highlight any extreme points so that some might realise they are extreme.
3) highlight any good points - helping others in need for example - just because it is the right thing to do.. if anyone has any general comments which could help, please post them here.

If you highlight extreme points there is always the danger (or in fact likelihood) people will simply take it at face value.
Maybe a more subversive thing you could do is simply act uninterested in the material, go through the motions, and finish early. That'd probably send the strongest and sincerest message, and strike a chord with how others are feeling, if you've got the balls to pull it off.

I dont know if this became a mild vendetta at some point for this teacher or not but whether or not that is the case, if something he says is true, then it is true regardless.
The tyranny of facts! What matters is not what's true because there's no such thing. What matters is what works and this is dependent on the context. There is no such thing as "true regardless", or at least there shouldn't be. If we must use the word true is should be true because.

I don't know, as much as he makes some good points he does seem a bit peculiar to me. It sounds like he's been trying to de-convert his students from being JWs which is not cool for a teacher. Word seems to have got around JWs that he's an "opposer" and they withdrew en masse from his classes or his band. Sure JWs are wrong to discourage creativity and education. But this situation seems to have been complicated further by this teacher's proactive stance in engaging with JWs. He should stick to encouraging all students to pursue their talents and be very wary of sharing his views with JWs.

Why are some that post here JW apologists?
by ctrwtf inmy rant tonight is against the quasi religious apologists that post on this board.
those who at once rail against the jw's then later talk about how "orderly" and "neat" the witnesses are at their conventions.
those who site the benefits of bloodless surgery to some who have the luxury and time to actually make an educated choice, while ignoring the tens of thousands who've died because they happen to be in an accident or succumb to a disease for which there is no other treatment.. i understand the power of cognitive dissonance.

It's always been disappointing to me just how few JWs have the courage of their convictions to defend their views when in really counts. They are full of bravado when challenging people they think know less than they do about the Bible or whatever. As soon as they face a real challenge from someone who knows their history and problems with their beliefs, suddenly they're not interested in "debate". Does that show real confidence that they have the "truth"?

Strange question. It's always struck me: why aren't there more JW apologists on the site? There are 8 millions JWs worldwide and this is the biggest JW related forum. Why don't more come on and defend their views? I would welcome it.
