I know an Elder that used to do drugs and his brain is really fried now. Apparently the qualifications aren't that high! Or maybe you just have to be high to be an Elder, who knows now adays? HA HA, Sorry I couldn't resist!

no big deal but he was the one that had private reproof for going to a strip club a while back.
i guess it is ok considering they allow pedophiles to go door to door.

I think I wanna go to the kingdom hall this sunday...
by Sweetp0985 inyes you read that correctly, but first let me say that i'm not going to learn anything (as if that would happen anyway), but i'm going to gloat.. the last couple of times i went there a few months ago was because i was being forcedstrongly encouraged (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/9/74780/1202255/post.ashx#1202255) and i felt intimidated when i went.
now that i have become a regular reader of various discussions here, i know i can walk in there with my head held high and look at them with just as much disgust in my eyes as they have in theirs because i haven't been begging to come back to such a unloving and hateful organization.. i also want to take a good look at my step-mother.
i know for a fact that things on the homefront have been much less than a "loving theocratic atmosphere" between her and my father.

Do JWs really grieve?
by undercover ina strange thing happened to me while watching a television movie on the life of the late nascar star dale earnhardt; i got choked up remembering a close family member who died at an early age.. .
for those of you who aren't familar with earnhardt, his father died when dale was a young man and this movie portrayed him pretty much living his entire life trying to live up to his father's ideals.
of course he died on the race track having some of the same issues with his own son, now a superstar on the track.. .

When I was a JW, I did believe in the Resurrection but I still grieved over the death of my Grampa. I grieved over him so hard, for months, years. It's been a long time since he passed away, 10 years now and I'm still grieving. Now I feel more comforted that there isn't a resurrection in that I feel that he is watching over me at this time. Just me own thoughts, feeling, theory so to speak. Hey if it comforts me then why not right!

I voted Candidly nuts as the funniest girl on the forum or at least tied with all the other funny girls. The JW's came to the door today and asked my son to go to meetings

the couple that my mr.horton and i had been studying with when we were considering going back to the truth finally got ahold of him.
the did the usual routine.

Thank you so much for caring everyone! Your replys and advice mean so much to me! I am laughing my tushy off but taking the advice to heart at the same time. I plan to call my elder friend and be firm but friendly. I will inform you of the outcome in a few days. I'm not sure if I have his number anymore as I crumpled it up and threw it away the last time they left it. The next time they come I will be having a brief/friendly but firm discussion about my not going to the Kingdom Hall until I am good and Ready and not any sooner. SO BACK OFF BROTHERS!!!!!! OR THE CLAWS WILL COME OUT!!!!! LMAO in a serious way!!!!!! Are you feeling the vibes!!!!
