in footballing terms kicking the player rather than the ball.. how many times when discussing a problem (serious or otherwise) with elders were you attacked rather than the point you were trying to make, you the innocent one would come away feeling quite guilty.
they are past masters at this technique, coupled with the fact that they attack you on your own.

To get back to kaytee's thread . . .yes, this happened to me several times when I was trying to understand Witness thought. The elder attacked me and my moral makeup instead of discussing Bible and Watchtower questions. I was young and very impressionable and easily squashed him.

"the jehovah's witnesses refuse blood transfusions for religious reasons," jonathan lavoie writes on the petition's website.. "this creates enormous stress for the family.".

My Wife Just Left Me Because of the Evil Watchtower

i am normally not the kind of person you will ever see cry because things don't affect me that much but this has got to be the hardest things i have ever went through.. i just got through discussing with my wife my feelings.
i guess it has been hard to hid some of the things that i have felt since i have learned that many of the wt teachings are false.

while application to a seasoned cult like the watchtower may be more ambiguous than a one-leader organization, i would like to know your viewpoints as to how you may have noticed any of these tendencies among elders and other leaders within the watchtower organization.
it certainly applies to rutherford for one!

As an individual who never joined the Witnesses but did try to understand their beliefs, I find that this article contains about six or seven attributes I discovered within the JW organization. And this observation was very generic in nature . . .information that seemed to want to scream out at me and say, " LOOK AT WHAT WE CAN DO TO YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES AND YOU CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT ! " and revealed itself to me within the first six months of my experience with the Witnesess.
God help us to destroy this gross manipulator of innocence.

i swear we could write a novel about our life exiting the watchtower!!
ok..many of you read what happened..our house was egged and so was my sisters car that was parked here, and "frosty" was attacked!!

If you do press charges make sure the message that is perceived by the general public is one of vindictiveness against you because you are an x-Witness. A good public relations agency could " humanize" the Witnesses that did this to you and have it laughed off as just a prank.
