  it's been brought to my attention that there are xjw that say they support the witnesses and don't think russia should ban them.

  i would just like to remind all of you that jws are guilty of murder, causing higher rates of suicide, covering up child molestation, and keeping members in prisoned because if they leave they loose family, financial support, possible employment etc.. sure their not strapping bombs to their chests but they easily get members to kill themselves with their blood policies.

  they are an extremist group!

  Dreary. You say Watchtower will not change its way because of a ban. You are not correct.

  Just the threat of such things made them join/associate with the UN.

  In this particular court case, they are seeking to be declared a "victim of political repression".

  Wowser!! You cannot be "politically neutral" AND suffer "political repression" at the same time.

  You must first be viewed as having a "political position" or "party" before you can be designated as suffering "political repression".

  No changes huh?

  Ah, hell yes it does. If they are banned then they can't cause me to be shunned. And if I sue their sorry backside for defamation then the judge isn't going to site religious privilege to avoid getting involved.

  Young Couple Stopped with Invitation

  i had a young couple stop by yesterday to drop off an invitation to the memorial.

  i told them i was a bible student & had studied a number of religions.

  i got into all the hot topics.

  I'm willing to wait and see Blues. But I have a hard time believing a ban will have the same effect today.

  Today's dubs...

  Don't want to work, lazy bunch.

  Don't want to suffer.

  Skip houses in FS.

  Don't ring or knock in FS, walk quietly on the porch to avoid contact.

  Shy away from spreading the WT doctrine.

  Skip FS.

  Skip meetings.

  Cancel meetings for half an inch of snow.

  Don't put money in the box.

  Live double lives.

  Drink too much.

  Have no Bible knowledge.

  Don't sincerely believe WT dogma.

  Are separated from one another, overly private.

  Get blood transfusions in secret.

  I am sure others can add.

  These are not the dubs of Rutherford.

  Flow Through Authority

  When a 'higher up' grants to an underling a level of 'authority', that underling's 'authority' belongs to the higher up, and that 'authority' merely flows through the underling to whomever that underling should apply that 'authority'.

  If that underling should abuse that authority, then the higher up should take away that authority.

  The government grants to incorporated religions a level of authority. When religions abuse that authority, it needs to be taken away.

  Watchtower uses its granted authority to persecute fellow believers. It uses that authority to implement "thought control" and it uses that authority to enforce "shunning" of whistleblowers.

  This is an abuse of the authority granted. It needs to be removed.

  Many persons have voiced the opinion that 'no government should get to decide how you practice your religion'....

  Let me ask a question that seems to have been overlooked.
  

  Why is it that RELIGIONS get to decide how I should practice my religion?

  Who in the hell gives the religions the authority to penalize me if, in the context of practicing my religion, I should talk to others of my faith about what the leadership of said faith, happens to be up to ....behind our backs.

  IE: Partnering with the UN and agreeing on my behalf to its CHARTER

  Who gives the religion the authority to persecute me because I chose to exercise the FREE SPEECH granted to ME in the Constitution of the country to which I belong?

  I'll tell you who the hell gives the religion it's authority. THE GOVERMENT.

  Well, lots of opinion and we are all entitled to them.

  My opinion is that 'it'll be different this time' and my "evidence" is...

  1) Masses of disappointed JWs. (all their teachings have been undermined, not by outsiders, but by the GB themselves. This has had an effect. Future reactions will not be the same as in the past.)

  2) The Watchtower Society is shrinking where it counts.

  3) The information proving WT is a bunch of hypocritical fools is exploding and that only continues.

  4) The world has changed. Did you ever think that a lunatic would make it into the most powerful chair in the world?

  In the past, dubs truly believed and threw their lives away quickly. Today, all I see is self-sparing pansies who are doing what they want away from the kingdumb hall.

  I've been part of the organization over 50 years, and I am still going. I see it first hand. Many of you fine persons are outsiders and you cannot understand the dynamic. And reports from that part of the world reinforce my opinion. Dubs are sick and tired of the same old-same old conflicting doctrines, hollow promises and do more do more. They don't trust the ORG like they used to. And I believe they are just looking for an excuse to stop.

  Time will tell. I'll be watching.

  Where is the evidence for this? What about their widespread persecution in Western countries during WW2 when they truly believed the end was imminent and their growth was exponential.

  Steve, as I mentioned in my post,

  There's a saying on Wall St. "past performance is not an indicator of future results"
  In other words, just because, in the past, it worked like that, is no guaranty that it will work that way now.

  Also, dubs do "expect persecution to increase leading up to the end" as you say, however, their ability to tolerate it is not the same as it was in yesteryear, when the WT teachings seemed to 'make sense' ...sorta', and had a sense of believability. The "generation teaching" seemed to add up and dubs put confidence in it.

  Not so much anymore. The organization, and the hearts of the dubs, has been hallowed out, this being hard to quantify but it is palpable.

  Today, dubs are going door to door and not knocking, faking service. This is a huge thing.

  I see dubs faking all aspects of dub life. The sincerity level is way low.

  I do not see dubs tolerating opposition similar to our granpa's generation.

  No sir.

  And the persecution they 'expect', according to WT dogma, comes after Christendom goes down in flames. Not before. Dubs today expect a fluffy ride. Their GB exalted ones cannot fail them. Until they do.

  No, I think that the common dub knows about all the persecution during WW2 and their thinking is that it was a phase, one that is finished, in the rear view mirror. And today, dubs are headed toward Panda Town.

  Today's dubs are like "rice Christians", they got sold the nice panda tract at their front door and joined thinking it's all good.

  Nobody had a dub come to their door and say 'hey, want to be persecuted'??
