MY issue with the game was the refereeing. I don't understand the "make-up" red card on Mastroeni. He had just made a beautiful attempt on goal from about 40 feet away, and was almost immediately red carded on an Italian dive. Speaking of dives I have not seen as many dives since watching Greg Louganis in the Olympics, but I digress. I felt that the referee was deliberately trying to remove a player that had just made an attempt that would open up the goal for the US with that long shot. I also felt that the yellow cards on Pope were equally egregious.

I honestly believe that FIFA did not want the darling Italians to be upset by the USA, and did everything in their power to prevent a USA. I fully expect to see the same shenanigans on Thursday against Ghana

Look folks. Both Parties are at fault on this one. If you or I, read AMERICAN CITIZENS did this they would through the book at us. However, since the Republicrats & the Demicans are two sides of the same corrupt coin, we the citizens will be screwed.

The Republicrats are in the pocket of big business that has an insatiable appetite for cheaper and cheaper labor. The Demacans want more voters to insulate them from another uster from power ala The Contract With America, that put them in minority status for the first time in 40 years.

I for one, will not be voting for Feinstein this year.

There is some talk that Al Gore is going to use this movie as a springboard for a "Draft Gore" movement for the Democrat Party nomination in 2008. I loathe this man, and his bimbo wife even more.

Question re. this morning's (Los Angeles time) Argentina-Serbia & Montenegro match.

Just prior to the Crespo goal, an Argentine player stripped the ball from a Serb player, and shoved him to the ground. Now perhaps it was my pre-coffee mind, but isn't shoving a player in the back considered poor sportsmanship, even in soccer (where dives are abundant)? I ask this question at the risk of embarrassment from the Euros on this board, but I want to know.

Chighton & John Stossel lectured/debated at Cal Tech in Pasadena a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to go, but to drop $195 for a day long debate was a bit much. The main stream newspapers didn't give it much column space, and the alternative newspapers, aka far left rags, merely ridiculed anyone from the other side.

I just think that Al Gore has no ceridibility for anything political, let alone environmental.

I guess, that if I knew that question I would be God. If I was God and people didn't believe in me, then I would snuff them out of existence at the moment of their lack of faith.

That's about the same as witnesses saying apostates should be dead or killed if the law allowed for it. So, you think if people have honest doubts about god, he should kill them when they are not CONVINCED he really exists? How special

No, Gumby, that is not what I said. I said that if I was God I would do such & so. I too am glad that I am not God. You see, I had a time where I doubted the existence of God. Fortunately, God had mercy on me, and graciously revealed Himself to me inspite of my unbelief.
