I don't have issues with liberal inconsistencies. I think it's just fine that the Kennedy's (Robert, Jr. to be specific) demand that the rest of Americans abstain from fossil fuels and delve into alternative sources of energy, yet were the biggest NIMBY's when it comes to windmills along the Hyanisport (sp?) coastline. Evidently the Kennedy's didn't want the view of their personal fiefdom impeeded by these windmills.

Or Teddy Kennedy's son who was driving under the infulence, and claimed that he was going to cast a vote at 3 in the morning.

Or Cynthia McKinney who slugged a Capital Hill police officer.

Or William Jefferson, and the hiding of bribe money in his Congressional office. Our this same person comandeering rescue forces after Hurrice Katrina in order to get a laptop and bribe money from his damaged home.

I expect politicians to be hypocrites when it comes to policy. Afterall the only thing they care about is getting re-elected. But I can't abide a hypocrite that thinks just because of their surname or race they are afforded some sort of exception from the laws that apply to everyone else.

Just as with any change to an organization there will be disgruntled ones that will attempt to make their cases to the R&F. They will be quashed, and thrown out if they continue. The WTS will continue to keep the R&F in their hermetically sealed environment, and nothing will change.

Don't get me wrong. I don't want the Borg to exist any more than you all do. I am trying to be realistic in my thought process.

seems michael moore was using some of the same tricks the watchtower uses (taking quotes entirely out of context).

Then again, Larry Elder, in his film Michael & Me, should over and over how Moore misrepresented facts in Bowling for Columbine.

Extra training ... so you know that shooting babies is WRONG ?!?

how dumb and pathetic.. no extra training should be necessary for even slightly trained and disciplined soldiers.

i guess it is for some of the rabble that the us call "troops" though.. of course the real problem is not just those on the ground that have committed the latest attrocity.

it is the chain of command that tried to cover it up and all the way up to the president who sanctions bombing of civilian targets with nothing more than rumour for "intelligence".. from now on america, you are on your own.

The last time I looked peopla are innocent until proven guilty. At least it is here in America. I for one am willing to allow ALL the evidence to come forth, unlike the the people above me.

The Muratorian Manuscript contains 23 of the current 27 NT books that are considered canonical.

The manuscript also lists two of the four gospels, Luke & John. The gospels that are mising are missing due to a lost piece of the manuscript.

The importance of this is that the manuscript is dated c. 175 AD, it appears to be the earliest canonical list extant.

quite some time ago, i made a topic asking for advice concerning a friend i had that is still a jw.

he's the guy who initially recruited me.

after i left, he still contacted me occassionally, sometimes offering to help me find a job and whatnot.
