I think the straight up lies is what bother me the most about this cult.

What is the scriptural basis to deny baptism?
by MinisterAmos inhow many baptized witnesses were told that they could not be baptized until they had served for a time as unbaptized publishers?
is there an actual scriptural basis for this, or is just another law made up by the org?
why are some not asked to serve as unbaptized publishers before baptism?

This is what I don't understand about the WTS teachings.
The Bible clearly says that only the born again will have life. It says that only those in Christ are saved. It says that all who believe are in Christ are saved. I says that there is no condemnation for those in Christ. It says that those who have Christ in them are in Christ.
Even in the WTS own "proof text" where Jesus says "I have other sheep" even if those are really the "Great Crowd", Jesus calls them sheep. That means they are saved. How can they be saved if they are not "in Christ". To be in Christ you have to have Christ in you. But the WTS teaches that only 144000 have the indwelling. Also in that same verse Jesus says that there is one fold, not two.
I don't know why I try to make sense of the lies and false teaching of the WTS.
They just want to sell books.
BTW if you uncheck the "Check here to use HTML formatting"
and check the "Automatic Cr/Lf", the formatting will stay just the way you type it. -

Romans 8:12-17 and your thoughts....
by R.F. in(romans 8:12-17) nwt.
12 so, then, brothers, we are under obligation, not to the flesh to live in accord with the flesh; 13 for if you live in accord with the flesh you are sure to die; but if you put the practices of the body to death by the spirit, you will live.
14 for all who are led by gods spirit, these are gods sons.15 for you did not receive a spirit of slavery causing fear again, but you received a spirit of adoption as sons, by which spirit we cry out: "abba, father!

What Spirit?
According to the teaching of J.F.Rutherford the Holy Spirit was no longer needed once Jesus Christ 'came to the temple of Jehovah God' in 1918.
By his spirit, the holy spirit, Jehovah God guides or leads his people up to a certain time, and thus he did until the time when "the comforter" was taken away ... in 1918.
Preservation, 1932, pp. 193, 194.
...1918... in that year the Lord Jesus came to the temple of Jehovah God. The holy spirit that had been the guide of God's people, having performed its functions, was taken away... J.F. Rutherford, Salvation, 1939, pp. 216, 217.
In times past the holy spirit was the comforter and helper of God's people, and those brethren supposed to have the spirit of the Lord acted as teachers of the consecrated; but now, since the coming of Christ Jesus to the temple, Jehovah God and his great prophet, Christ Jesus, are the teachers... the faithful ones receive knowledge and understanding from the Word of God revealed to them through the Head of the temple organization.
J.F. Rutherford, Jehovah, 1934, p. 311. See further, The Watchtower, March 15, 1938, p. 89, 37: 1939 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses, Daily Texts and Comments, October 6.
In 1935 Rutherford made up this bit about there being two classes. There is no Biblical
basis for this belief. There is very little Biblical basis for many of the WTS beliefs.
Romans is written to all of us. Rom.5:1 "...since we are justified by faith...." That would be all who have faith. Not just one small group.
Rom 8:1 "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." For us, any of us, to be "in Christ" we need to have faith. If you have faith you are "in Christ".
The Bible was written to all of us. Don't let some man made organization, with their twisted, ever changing doctrine rob you of the gift that God has given to all of us. All who believe. -

"Organization will hinder all growth...."
by bob1999 inso who said this?
"for when the power of organization is once felt, it will soon be used to frown down and hinder all growth in grace and knowledge, and to suppress all teaching and teachers not in harmony with the errors and bondage of said unions.
the only union and bondage which god has ever authorized in his children, is the union between each individual and christ the head....."

This is "Eternal Life"
by Doug Mason inin a recent thread, i was asked about eternal life.
it speaks of a quality, rather than of its length.. what is this eternal life which god has given to men in his son?
for man, it is the reception and enjoyment of the essential life of god himself through christ, the channel, by the holy spirit, the agent.

Romans 8:30-39
30and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?
33Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth; 34who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So, those chosen by God to be in Christ will not, can not be separated from Christ.
They cannot be separated from Eternal Life. -

Is the WTS still teaching that there is no such thing as evolution?
I do not believe that evolution is the origin of the species but evolution most certainly does take place.
