ABOUT BEARDS AND JW,s ?

this is a jw friendly version of one of farkels posts that i plagarized.. it's useful to send to jw,s who are clueless as to why they can not have facial hair.. .

there was a falling away from the bible students after the disappointment of 1914 and the death of ctr in 1916.for the first approximately 10 years during his leadership of the bible students, rutherford would laud and praise ctr and even stated that ctr was leading the movement personally while being "beyond the vail"( from the heavens after his death).

so for a time the judge actually promoted remembering ctr to retain followers.

It is intereting that in this weeks meeting, it discusses grooming. I wonder if any comments will be made regarding beards.

You will have to let us know about that.

Where I'm from you can have a beard just no privileges then. The way JW,s would express their feelings about beards is "it is frowned upon"

i'm afraid i haven't finished ranting yet.

sorry peoples.. we have been shunned for five years now by my husband's jw family, who are his parents, his brother, my sister in law and their two little children.. this evening, my mother in law rang, asking my husband to ring his brother as his wife was unwell and unable to work for the next couple of weeks.

could we lend them some money for a while!!!!!

Sorry about your situation,

In JW,s mind they think they are showing you love by shunning you and the harder they shun you the more love they are showing.

Now when they need help they figure in a, twisted way, I showed you this shunning love and it's been hard for me to do, the least you could do is give a little back.

I say give them a taste of their own love.

You answered your own question because they're idiots.

They need to be different, they hold out a carrot in front of followers and prospective followers,

to retain and attain people. They are just a little better than everyone else they know special truths

that no one else knows. They're Gods special people!

Greatest Man and Lowliest Man How Possible?

wt calls jesus both to suit their needs.. i believe the wt is wrong in calling jesus the lowliest one of mankind.

they do this to apply a greater fullfilment of the prophecy at dan 4.. two scriptures are cited to support the lowliest man stance they use, matthew 11:28-30 and phil.2:7,8.. at matthew jesus states he is gentle and humble in heart.

at phil.2:7,8 once again jesus humbled himself making himself nothing, taking the the nature of a servant.

Don't you think humble means lowly.?

No,

Moses was the most humble man on earth at his time but I don't think he was lowly.

Was nebuchadnezzar humble when he was a beast? Is an animal humble just because its

created an animal? I think humbleness is a quality you aquire (especially when the person is great)

and lowliness is what station you are at in life.

Neb. was a crazy beast in the field, and before that he was a prideful ruler.

Jesus was God's Son who chose to be meek.

How does this make him lowly?

How can you compare Jesus and Nebuchadnezzar as being the same types of people God likes to choose as a king?

Nebuchadnezzar and Jesus, two lowly men, cut from the same cloth, who God chose to give kingships.

It's crazy.(in my opinion)
