  Watchtower "Worship"

  this is defined as "a reverence for god" in my dictionary.

  That the WTS uses the word "hall", as in Dance hall, Community hall, Pool hall or Union hall

  Why are they called Kingdom Halls ?? Just to be different from other christian congregations?

  To be part of the Kingdom of God you must be of the 144,000.

  So why is the Great Crowd mostly in these Kingdom Halls?

  Kingdom Halls, I don't get it?

  Hi JH,

  Exactly Leolaia, they don't want to copy other religions using this prayer, and if you notice, Jesus didn't say Jehovah, but only our father.

  I checked the New Testament and there isn't one instance that I could find where Jesus used Jehovah's name in prayer.

  have come to chapter 8. i'm genuinely surprised with depth of arguments and clarity of thinking of it's author.

  book definitely deserves 5 star rating.

  i've read many different authors but i've gotta admit ray is among the top writers i've read so far.

  i thought of all the money i saved on not buying all the meeting clothes for my family, and it got me wondering about the reason why jw,s need to dress up for everything they do.

  i think it must have all started because russell had that clothing store and this was a good way for him to have a cornered market.

  I don't know about the rest of the world but here on the east coast JW,s like to show off their threads maybe I'm in a more affluent area. anyhoooo Think of the weddings I've been to "wordly weddings"

  and none of them compare to the witness weddings.

  Oh yeah the thing of coming into Jah's presence at a meeting and being decked out is BS,

  should you throw on the meeting clothes every time you say a prayer ?

  JW lurkers just order one of the books no one will catch you will have your eyes opened.

  wasn't it irritating though and nonsensical to wear a suit and tie or dress to someones home for a book study.

  I don't normally like reading that much but I read COC in about 3 days.

  Gentile Times Reconsidered is very good to.

  prophecor : I know what you mean.

  When you think of all the indoctrination you recieved ( me born into, loyal till 37 years old ) I'm happy it only took about 5 years to totally recover and to see it for the cult that it is.

  i have a copy of may 1,1998 watchtower.

  when i heard a few years ago about the witnesses believing that they were the locusts i thought it was just a rumour; that even for a jw org it was too far fetched.

  a few weeks ago i read about it again on this site.
