  It's not important, it's easier.

  My husband and I disagree and agree all the time about serious topics - our main thing is to agree to disagree. He is his own person and I shouldn't change his thoughts because we are married.

  I have my opinions and he does his, but we don't compromise on what we believe in. He isn't a JW and leans towards the Agnostic/Atheist belief system( little confused still) . However, I believe in God, more now than when I was a JW. For those who are Atheists, I don't judge you for what you believe in and I never say your "wrong". I could be wrong, who knows. I'm just happy that there are others with different views.

  With our children, we both agreed not to raise them in a religion. We want them to grow up, knowing all sorts of beliefs and customs. Whatever they decide is up to them, but I want them to know what's out there.

  What Stage Are You At Now?

  i was born in the "truth" and reached the dizzy heights of becoming a servant and that attended the ministerial school.

  in the last three years i emotionallly left the "truth" and stopped attending last year.

  however, i am still very confused theologically.

  Losing my family has been pretty hard on me, having children and not being able to share the joys of motherhood with your own mother - it's heartbreaking.

  Over all I am a good solid 6. Some days are worse and some days are better. I just try and control the depression, my body takes a beating because of it.

  if you would have been there, when jesus was speaking in parables and you didn't fully grasp what he meant, would you have told him, to speak clearly so that you could understand him well?.

  i would have told him, can you be more precise or talk so that i fully understand, or should i leave?.

  i believe that i am experiencing a profound change in my personality, and those changes are at a stage where i have honestly contemplated this recently.

  honestly.. i don't think i could ever do it - anyone who has followed me on the boards here know that i am neither suicidal nor an apologist for that lot.

  yet, having been off work for a few weeks now with surgical recovery, i have had time to make assessment of my future.

  I know how you feel, all of us DO!

  I'm one of the lucky ones, I made friends outside the religion before I was out. Plus, many of my JW friends are EX -JW's now.

  I know, I am not helping....lol

  However, I promise this - When things settle down for me, I will get Buttlight and we'll take a road trip. Hell, her and I will watch the grandkids, while you take your wife out for a night. Go out for the weekend! If I have to, I will bring my kids and stay for a week, while you take her on Vacation. I can handle 5 kids - piece of cake...lol.

  Plus, we are having that apostafest in Aug(in WI). Please come, bring the grandkids! I will play with them and you and wifey can sit and enjoy talking to others and not worry about the children! Kids love me! If they don't, I make them love me...lol

  funny though, the only time i really think about the good old days is when i come here.

  when i meet other exjws, quite often they seem consumed by their present situation.

  sometimes i like to go out, have a couple of drinks and enjoy the food.

  Why, I am glad you ask this QUESTION! LOL!

  Am I glad? Yes and No. I am glad because my children can grow up normally. What is normal anyway? That's another question for everyone. I'm just glad, I am free and not living a lie anymore. I can be myself 100% of the time. I don't use my freedom as an excuse to do all of the worldly actions. I am enjoying the fact, I can breathe and not look over my shoulder, or stumble over the words I use. (hahaha) Yes, I would tend to swear at the kingdom hall - I never broke that habit. I tried dammit!

  No - Well, because I miss my family. Mom and 2 brothers, that I mainly miss. I know what it is like to have lost children to the religion. I know they're my brothers, but I did raise them. Sweat and Tears went in to making sure those boys had everything they needed and wanted. As of now, the 2 younger ones have nothing to do with me. This is why I am sad and having a hard time dealing with.

  For the most part, I am glad to be out!
