well, when i was giving birth there were some complications.
the dr. came in and told hubby and i that they were probably going to want to give me a transfusion as i had lost so much blood.
i looked at my husband for his reaction.
Congratulations, Cognac, on two counts.... baby, and hubby having doubts. Two home runs !
So, is it a boy or a girl? Healthy?
Missed you this weekend shopping.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Brenda Lee, author of OUT OF THE COCOON: A YOUNG WOMAN’S COURAGEOUS FLIGHT FROM THE GRIP OF A RELIGIOUS CULT, will be interviewed in two days: MONDAY, MAY 11.
Tune into “The Chosen” at 6 p.m. Mountain Time (8 p.m. Eastern Time) for approx. 1 hour. To listen live via your computer, go to:
The call in number if you'd like to make a comment during the show, or ask a question, is:
1-877-932-9766 (toll free)
One of the things I hope to discuss is the upcoming July '09 Awake magazine in which the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, under the heading “IS IT WRONG TO CHANGE YOUR RELIGION?” instructs Jehovah's Witnesses:
"No one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and his family.”
For someone like me who has been shunned by my family for the last 28 years because I found the Jehovah Witness beliefs unacceptable, this statement is clearly riddled with ignorance and unfathomable hypocrisy! (Email me if you'd like to receive a scan of the article.)
I also intend to discuss why I believe the Watchtower is a cult and why we shouldn't be afraid to use that word.
If you miss the interview but want to hear it later, check my website for the recorded show about a week later at: www.outofthecocoon.net. (also get an autographed copy of my book here)
Please post or pass this information along to anyone who may be interested. Thanks.
Oh, and Happy Mother's Day!

PS. As most of you know, I'm going to be featured, along with three other cult survivors, on "The Secret Lives of Women," in either July or August. The segment will air on WE (Women's Entertainment), a nationally televised cable program. I will keep you up to date when I learn more about the air date.

i wrote this letter several months ago but didn't feel strong enough to deal with the jw flack it might cause.
now i'm feeling better and ready to let the professionals around me know just how insidious the jw teachings can be on susceptable young minds.
the forst 6 letters will go out to the high schools in my area.
Very, very well written. Your writing style made me want to keep reading, until the end .
I hope you send this to every school in the country, and in the whole world. Can we print this out and forward it to schools in our towns and countries?

really ????
?.
When Taylor Hicks came on and started singing, all of a sudden, my screen went blank, then it showed an info-mercial, and the voice said, ..."This is a test of the emergency broadcasting system......" It kept up until Taylor walked off the stage, then the program resumed. I was swearing up a storm. I am not lying, either.

.
i saw someone doing that today.
big old ram truck and the motor running while he was pumping gas.. how dangerous is that?.
Okay, let's say you shut off your engine, and you are pumping gas, and this guy comes up right behind you, and keeps his engine running. You are close to his engine, right?
It doesn't have to be your engine.

I think that everyone just expects him to be the final winner, so many put their votes on others instead of him, thinking he would always be there, anyway. Plus, there are so many that are good this year, the votes get spread out more evenly, I think, so the margin is much smaller between winners and losers.

Hmm... I wonder if that truly is dangerous. I mean why would it be? You are adding fuel to the tank; combustion happens in the engine...far removed from the tank.
If you have a bad spark plug wire and it's arching, that could ignite the gas fumes.
It's the gas fumes that are dangerous. When I was about 12 years old, my friend and I had a little campfire going, and he had a gallon GLASS jug with gasoline in it, and he made a trail of gas quite far from the campfire, and he was going to light it, and while he was pouring the gas out, the kneck of the gas container caught on fire. He just dropped the jug. I don't know why the jug didn't explode, but if it would have, he would have been severely burned, and probably me too, as I wasn't that far from him. The glass would have cut us up bad, too, maybe killed us.

i saw my first while out on errands today!.
bought a 68 camaro in 1977. paid 700$ taxes, title, registration, inspection & new tires!.
i wish i still had mine.
My first bike was Schwinn, 3 speed, hand brake and all.
My first car was a 1940 Studebaker Commander. My Dad bought it for me for $50.00. It was a one owner ! Two old guys in town had bought it brand new in 1940. I got it in 1960. The car is one year older than me. Wish I had it now.
My favorite was my '58 Chevy Convertible, powder blue with a white top.
