i told the woman right off i was 'apostate' and had no intention of changing it.
she kept asking me personal questions which i told her were none of her business and she said she would have the elders come by and i told her that if they came by the better be wearing bullet proof vests!

Kobe charged ! so sad !, will JW's use him as an example for their young ?
by run dont walk inanytime something went wrong in the world with an individual, they would use them as example over and over and over again.. the most common one i heard was brother a got into big trouble with __________ (insert problem here, pick any one), see this is what happens when you leave the organization.. so how many jw's will be saying ............. "did you hear what happened to kobe, big successful athlete, see he didn't have god's organization and satan got him.".
i wonder how many jw parents especially in the la area will make their kids stop wearing number 8. he did and admit to committing adultrey.

it definitely got everyone's attention because he even went so far as to say that perhaps ufos are a creation of jehovah, but we haven't been told of their purpose.

I guess if you're made of molten rock, then Venus is a great place to live. LOL It's hotter than Mercury actually, because of the atmosphere surrounding it. I guess the Happy Dinosaurs run around on fire and in agony until they die.

They probably did. Remember Jordan's wife, and what she was going to get from him if she divorced? Crazy money.
Trust me, she would do just fine with what she got if she divorced him. If she does divorce him, I can't blame her. They made a promise to each other, and he broke it. It's nice, but not necessary for her to stay with him. Who knows if he did this more than once? If your'e married, you have to respect your lady and at least keep your pants on around around other women.
Plus, is he insane? She's a beautiful woman! And he has a child!
Even the brightest celebrities can be morons at times.

apparently he is safe.. i would have loved to live in new york a few years ago.
it looks like its the most dangerous place to live right now, not because of the current attempt to shoot the mayor but because it is the centre of worl attention and any nut case wanting world attention simply has to do some act of terrrorism there.. would you live there?.

NEW YORK (CNN) -- A gunman opened fire from a balcony in the City Council chamber at New York's City Hall Wednesday, shooting a man multiple times before being shot himself, witnesses told CNN.
Two people were carried out on stretchers.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg was inside his office in the City Hall building when the shooting occurred, and is unharmed, said his press secretary, Edward Skyler.
The building was sealed, Skyler said.
Councilman Michael McMahon of Staten Island said he was in the City Council chamber waiting for a session to begin when someone in a balcony above shot someone four or five times. "That person went down into an aisle of the balcony," and the shooter shot him again a couple of times.
Then the shooter appeared to be shot, and he fell down, he said.
"All pandemonium broke out," he said

Armageddon dream
by tinkerbell82 ini used to have horrible nightmares from the time i was maybe five until i was maybe thirteen that armageddon has come and i'm on jehovah's bad list.
i had them at least three times a week initially, but gradually as i grew older they were less frequent and then they finally stopped altogether...or so i thought.
last night i had one for the first time in at least seven or eight years and it was just as terrifying as it was when i was five.

I have them, but they are not associated to the JW theology. I've had dreams with the Moon falling, comets hitting, the sun exploding, tsunamis, earthquakes, car accidents.....you know, just anything that we fear in the daytime.
I think that old JW thinking could contribute a little, but for the most part, our rational concerns become irrational fears when we close our eyes. Who knows?

Assasinate the mayor? Balls on a hatrack! I'm glad I'm getting away from that great city to the north, soon.
Personally, even though I live just under an hour from the City, I would never live there. I don't even like visiting it. Not my cup of tea. It's like taking Jersey, and smashing into into 20 square miles, and expecting everyone to get along. It's a jungle, absolutely nuts.
