  when i saw simons thread and the "interview" series of threads that came from it i really enjoyed reading the life stories of those that shared.

  a bump for newer people seems like a good idea and i figured i would add mine as well.

  Like most things, you don't know what you don't know.

  Someone on reddit sent me pics of their basketball goals without hoops. Just a pole and backboard. Fun was outlawed at a point too.

  Apparently Jeffs being in prison is the fault of the people too. If they had the faith that they should have then he would be out. Shame on them.

  I've never been out west. It would be so creepy now to see it in person.

  @TD - When my wife had her wisdom teeth extracted last year she wanted to binge watch some shows together and one that she picked out was Handmaid's Tale. So we watched it, and honestly I had to take breaks after each one because they were so bleak and just awful. Then I met Brenda, and found out that the show could have been based, in part, on what it was like for women in the FLDS. It is about the worst thing for women that I've come across. They are simply slaves and baby making machines. I'm amazed that she was able to escape and stand up for herself in that cult. Now Warren Jeffs has decreed from prison that nobody can have sex in the cult, period. He grew this sex crazed weird culture where abuse is rampant and then shut off the ability for the adult men and women to have sex, so the women can't bear children anymore which is their way to heaven or whatever, and it is rumored that the men, who have been known to abuse girls anyway, have taken to that even more. It's just so grim.

  i am interested in the approach this forum takes to money.

  apart from sex, (which i am quite relaxed about) it seems to me that wealth is the surest divider between those who are moral, and those who are not.. it seems jesus thought so, also.

  luke 16:19-31 kjv describes well enough his dusty attitude to the rich who do not succour the poor.. and this world has many poor: so many, it might seem that we can do nothing about it, and twist his words; 'the poor ye shall have always with you, but me, ye shall not have always.

  Why are you guys still trying to talk sense into someone that believes in fairy tales as the basis for this philosophy that defies all reality? SRM isn't here to find out your views on money like he said from the jump, he's here to sell an idea that he's doing an awful job of selling, and he clearly doesn't care to face realities that have been presented. Either he's trolling and having fun with this, or he's just one of those people that believes in belief, and there's no openness to facts in opposition of that belief. It's like trying to reason with a closed minded JW. A waste of time. He can only see his point of view and little else.

  You know, when I first left I thought that the GB or writing committee members were probably victims too, just buying their own hype. As time went on with their deliberate misquotes and things like this it is clear to see that they are just evil. If there was a evil slave, they would be it.

  On the other hand, it makes me proud to be one such apostate through comments on sites like this, comments publicly on social media and news articles, and my podcasts, someone that they clearly fear enough to try to preemptively smear. They notice us. They fear us. I hope one day that they're one of us.

  They do love shunning, they love hating the gays, they love your donations and have more ways than ever to pay them, etc. So there's some love, no?

  I have no clue what Zeb's post above has to do with the podcast other than that it's about women. Seems kind of derailing a bit. Women certainly have issues in the dubs as well. This lady in the FLDS was on another level.
