reading through some of the recent posts, ie; the topic of lazarus and the gay issue, i was flabbergasted at what i was reading.

i can't believe-well maybe i can, that some people on this site are calling gay people "faggots", and telling that person that they are going to get "what sodom and gomorrah got".. this site has been a godsend to me, and have been telling my friends how nice it is to be in with a group of people who can relate to my life, my feelings, my insecurities, and my fears relating to the org.

and not being a part of it anymore.

I can't believe-well maybe I can, that some people on this site are calling gay people "Faggots", and telling that person that they are going to get "What Sodom and Gomorrah got".
Everybody has a right to their own opinion, but to blatantly be mean and use "Faggot", and denoting that they are going to get what Sodom and Gomorrah got is too much! I can laugh with the best if someone that I know jokes around and calls me "Queer" "Flamer", or some other connotation to my life, but to be plain mean is a different story.
I have had to deal with bullies and nasty backstabbers all of my life, I thought I would not have to face that prejudice here. Thanks for ruining something I was beginning to cherish. So much for self-esteem! Thanks!!!

I did not know you were gay, but I must say that the world needs more men like you. You are sweet and kind and sincere and honest, and I would have you over to the house a helluva lot quicker than some str8 folks with their predjudice and narrow mindedness. I was also very offended at the "faggot" comment and the Sodom and Gomorah comment. I cried fowl and I will continue to do so.

Running into an old friend who was once lost and struggling, to find them with answers that work, happy and focussed.

Standing outside my girls' bedroom door at bedtime listening to them talk and giggle. God how sweet that sound is.

Coming home.

When my son tells me loves me.

When my wife puts on a pot of coffee 10 minutes before she awakens me.

To know that something I did or said made a difference in somebody's life.

When Moo, our kitty, sleeps purring on my neck.

Spooning with my wife and talking.

Do You Realize How Much Being a Witness Has Hindered You?

the truth is------- we have lost out on soooooo much, simply because we were witnesses.

it might b like almost starting all over again, for some of us.

what hits you as to what you could've had or have outrightly lost??

Well, it never really helps to dwell on the should-a's and the could-a's, however, as I grow, it becomes clear to me that I would have had a very successful career in producing music. I am just starting out and I love it so much. I work with some pretty incredible talent. I now have my success to look forward to in that area of my life.

The only thing that keeps me from pulling a James Huberty is giving the tragedies in my life a posative meaning. I try to give it some kind of perspective that empowers me to propel myself into the future. Right now, I look at my wonderful wife, my precious kids, the relationships I have and am trying to cultivate, and I must believe that everything in my life, every decision, every action, everything that has ever happened to me has lead up to the success I now have and will have in the future.

If I had not have married my first wife, the biyatch, I never would have met my current wife, the love of my life. It goes sort of like that for me.

Question to shunned persons

if your jehovah's witness relatves came to you and said..... "praise jah, there has been 'new light" and we can associate with you again!".....

what would you say or do?

I think I would not react at all. It would not mean alot to me. I have my life and I am very happy. My feelings about the org would change very little.

The thing is, the WTBTS has much to apologize for. They would still have lots to answer for. If they ever did tell the truth and ask forgiveness of all those they have wronged, it would then be only a matter of me going back. Would I want to? I dunno.

2- The Bible foretold at Matthew 7:15, 21-23 that after the death of the apostles, wrong teachings and unchristian practices would slowly come into the Christian congregation. And Acts 20:29, 30 show that men would draw away believers to follow them instead of Christ. That is why we see so many different religions that claim to be Christian, but that doesn't mean that they are all acceptable ways to God.

OK, try to keep up with me, Theopatra. We are all either apostate or DF'd or both (up in heah). We cannot get within 50 feet of a congregation, and you know it. We are shunned and treated as if dead. Who would listen to our "false teachings" anyway?

From where then, will these wrong teachings and unchristian practices come from? Where did they come from in the Jewish system in Jesus' day? That's right, Theocrap; it was the LEADERS from the top-down who corrupted the law.

OK, with me so far mr. cut and paste?

Who really [claims] to be the faithful and discreet slave who is giving the sleeplike ones their [spiritual] food? Aha! there it is! The only way that wrong teachings can seep into the congregation and corrupt the pure teachings of Christ with any real measure of success, is from the Governing Body itself since they are the ones writing policy. Think about that . . .

Plus, Jesus taught us at Matthew 7:13, 14 that only a few people are on the narrow road to life.

Since the UN scandal, since the WTBTS can easily be lumped in with the rest of Babylon the Great, the road to life is not so narrow in JW land.

4- Another mark of true religion is that its members have a deep respect for the Bible. They accept it as the Word of God and believe what it says. They treat God's Word as being more important than human ideas or customs, as Jesus stressed that importance at Matthew 15:1-3, 7-9. They try to live by the Bible in their everyday life. So they do not preach one thing and then practice another.

According to Ray Franz, former GB member, many of the policies and rules made by the Governing Body are unscriptural and often overreach into the lives and consciences of JW members. The WTBTS has rules and policies about things the Bible does not even touch on. LIke wanking off, for example. Like what a married couple does in their bedroom.

Why did the GB hold to a custom, a human idea, that JW should not accept civilian service during wartime as substitute for military service, for so many years while brothers all over were imprisoned, beaten and killed for their stand, when the majority of the GB had voted to allow brothers to accept civil service? Just another area the Bible definitely does not touch on, yet the GB felt it was within their realm to dictate such life and death matters to its members no matter how great the cost.
