i've been away for quite awhile.
well, not really, just away from any discussion of that horrid religion.
i just couldn't give any more seconds of my life to talking about anything even remotely related to jehovah's witnesses.

after this past trip to ohio, i have become painfully more aware of how alone i am.

im almost to the point of dating again, yet i have so many obstacles to overcome.. .
Junctions-wife...your post was one of the classiest things I've seen in a long time!

i am looking for a confident woman from north america or europe.. i am 31 y.o.
attractive resposible man.
i am able to financailly support myself and my future spouse and family.
Here's my take as a woman:
If this person is serious, my blood is boiling! I am sooooooo over the JW mentality. If this guy thinks he can show up and announce like he's Tarzan---me man, me want woman, you know what he can do with that attitude. Does he think he can just snap his fingers and all women bow at his feet????????
Most dating sites have profiles to fill out and then you can post. I've got to believe that he read some on the site first before posting and so I feel this is a troll. With that in mind, I think the answers were mild.
Again, this is just one opinion...think of it what you wish!

just got done watching the debate, the first democratic debate i've seen for '08.
a couple things: .
joe biden was great.
I don't think Edwards should be tossed out because of his beliefs on gay marriage. I appreciate the fact that he was truthful and you could get a straight answer out him! After Hillary's last debate, I didn't have a clue what she was thinking...last night she seemed a little more on point. Obama just seems so green (as in new) to me...just doesn't seem to have what I would like to see in a President at the moment. He looks great down the road for sure. I don't know if Edwards or Obama will be willing to be Hillary's VP!!!

Edwards sank like a stone.
He made a huge comeback with this new video:

it looks like there is some strong evidence, at least enough to charge him with numerous counts, including cruelty to animals.
if found guilty he could face prison time.
it's hard for me to believe that he was willing to risk his hard earned success for this dispicable behavior!
Update:
"NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell ordered Michael Vick not to report to the Atlanta Falcons training camp and hinted at the possibility of a suspension for violating league policies.
In a letter to Vick on Monday, Goodell told the Falcons quarterback that he should not attend camp until the league finished a review of his recent indictment by a federal court in Richmond, Va., on felony charges that he took part in dogfighting. Falcons players report to Flowery Branch, Ga., on Wednesday and the first practice is Thursday, when Vick will be in Richmond for his arraignment."

i think of you all allot for the helpful thoughts, and comments that you sent my way this past week.
i think one of my problems is that now that i don't have the routine of going to the meetings and feeling my head with the watchtower and awake, i seem to have little faith in anything now....i don't feel like i "know" god anymore.
every time i have gone to another church i just don't seem to fit in and feel "at home" like i used to at my old kingdom hall.
I think too much attention on religion can cause some people to become more confused! There really isn't a perfect religion out there. You just have to decide if one feels right for you...if it doesn't then that's o.k. too. Sometimes things just are. No one can fully explain the Bible or what the Bible writers meant. Trying to find the "truth" can drive you nuts!!! I had to just let go...realizing that I will not know what God wants me to know until he just he tells me, personally. The JW religion makes a person so stressed out on feeling that they have to "know" all about the Bible...then you find out they don't know as much as they act like they do!
You have to find things that interest you and will keep you busy and absorbed in life. You can meet some nice people working out at the gym, taking classes, doing volunteer work, etc. You have to move past the JW's and make new friends...it's o.k. to do that, you know!

My faith has changed. I find that I don't worry about the big "A"...it hardly ever crosses my mind!!! The churches might preach "hellfire" but the JW's preach Armageddon! I really do feel that people have to find their own and come to their own conclusions. I did a lot of research when I first left and that just led to my realizing how much I had been lied to. All the research kept me busy which was a plus...I transfered all my meeting/service preparation with personal study. Have you Ray Franz' book? If not, I strongly suggest you do...it will free you from a lot of guilt that you may be experiencing. You really seem to be carrying a ton of it on your shoulders....
