TELL US YOUR LACK OF LOVE STORIES FOR THE LURKERS.

jesus said, "you will all know my followers by they're works".

in a recent thread that i made, which lie hurt you the most, most posters presented they're arguments, and pretty much all of them said that the "lack of love" was horrendous.

why don't you write out your lack of love stories so that the lurkers can visit and see what this destructive high-control-group (aka, cult) does to the emotional health of sheep who are sick and weak.

I was pioneering and my mum told me she had cancer everywhere and only had a certain amount of time to live. No response from anyone in the congregation except from one elder who said to me "Oh well you will still be able to do your part in the ministry tomorrow wont you". I can tell you I went home absolutely devastated.

The most anyone said was well at least she will be in the new system as she will have paif for her sins when she dies. The worse one told me to cheer up and get on with it.

A few months later the same thing happened to her and the whole congregation supported her and so on. Made sure she had everything she needed. I looked at her and said exactly the same to her and got repremanded for it. When I pointed out that that was the exact words that she used to me a few months previously and compared with the elder the reaction to the same news by the congregation his reply was its different her family are in the truth. I said so because my family are not in the truth it doesnt matter, where is the love in that comment? You are saying that my mothers life is worthless because she is not in the truth? What about showing love to all god's creations and so on. He just went quiet and shrugged his shoulders.

Needless to say I didnt do the part in the ministry and never did again. If only they knew what I was thinking I would of been disfellowshipped on the spot.

In the end it didnt matter what I said or did, jealous sisters ran and tattled everything to the elders. The sad part was that a lot of it was made up and yet the sister was believed. Even when I could prove I was not there at the time and so on, the elder took the side of the sister. THe usualy response was "if you don't like it its too bad, there's nothing you can do cause your husband is not in the truth". In the end I looked at that elder and said well actually there is something I can do and I just walked out and never came back. I have never been contacted by anyone, had no one sheparding etc. Oh but the congregation was so full of love it was rediculous. Another sad part was that this was a common occurance to single sisters in the truth in my cong. Go figure that. If that is an example of how their God loves his creations I would hate to live in a system that depended on that love!

THE LAST RESORT?-( When? )

often,when it has been considered that the situation has come down to the "last resort"deadly force has been used.in what situation would you consider it to be "the last resort?

" and what would be the means of your last resort?.

one example of what i am asking about is "war".what situation would it come down to for you to consider the last resort,the last available means for you to resolve your conflict,and what means would that be?.

Well I think I might have talked about this on other threads. My last resort was when the docotors had given up on me and my diabetes. I had neuropathy spread like wild fire through me and I ended up loosing all muscle control in my stomach of all areas (usually it affects fingers and toes and feelings). ANyway it affected me so badly it had adverse effects of my heart, my stomach and many other parts of me. I could eat massive huge meals and never feel full becasuse of no muscle control. I ended up putting on massive amounts of weight and got morbidly obese and really deathly ill. So the doctors last resort was to staple my stomach. They could not guarantee me even waking up from the operation. Anyway I did die on the table but was revived and thank goodness it had the desired effect. I lost 68 kilo's (dont know what that is in pounds) and turned my life around. I still have the same problem with the stomach muscles but now I have will power and the incentive to know what will happen if I go out of control again. The doctors have told me there will not be a second time or another chance. That is enough to keep me scared straight!....

My other last resort was to leave my husband of 18 years after he tried to kill me several times and had reverted to a child and this is a very long story but leaving him was the last resort of long travelled road and trying many alternatives over the 18 years but in the end nothing else worked.

Heck Celtic what do you want us to say then. Your right mate you are useless????? What a total load of shite. No one, apart from my x, is totally useless. How do you take a long walk?? ONE STEP AT A TIME MATE!

You will never do anything sitting on your rear postulating useless babble and tiffle or whatever it was you called it. SO if you want to take a long walk off a short plank, then do it, don't just think about it!!!!!!!!!!! No that didn't come out right.

If you want to take a long walk then do it. Here is how. Get off your computer chair, put some money in your pocket, put some good, comfortable clothes and shoes on, dress according to the weather, take some water with you and put one foot in front of the other and move yourself. Hey dont let the door hit your butt on the way out! The forum will still be here when you get back!

What goes around...

Good story. But I don't tend to agree that what goes around comes around. Two examples. I spent 20 years of my life loving and looking after a man, sacrificing having children and lots of other things. I looked after him, cared for him and loved him when no one else would even give him the time of day. What came back to me??? My x trying to kill me twice and making my life a living nightmare and still continuing to make my life a nightmare and now trying to rob me of a future and it seems like everyone is backing him up, including the law. My only crime??? Loving him, 20 years of not fighting, of being the faithful, submissive wife. My reward, being nearly strangled to death and being pushed througha window and now fighting alone for my future.

Example two.. My mum was a similar natured person as me, helped everyone she could, never asked anyone for anything but was always there for you. She died 10 years ago at the age of 52. She never met most of her grandchildren, never saw her children blossom and become the people they were meant to be, plus a lot of other stuff.

If what goes around comes around, then my x would be lying in a coma dying a slow painful, lonely death and my mum would be here enjoying the family she sacrificed herself for and I would have someone fantastic that I had loved for the majority of my life and nice kids.

Were You Ever Counseled For Your Attitude or Because You Didn't Measure Up?

one thing jws do, and especially elders, is counsel people.

everything is all about setting a person straight.

even bible students are conditioned to be counseled and to do the same toward any that ask them questions as to what they believe.

Only over everything I did or said. I couldn't move in the hall without someone running to the elders telling them what I had done. In the end they were making things up. The funny thing was that it was happening after I had done the fade away. How sad is that? They seriously need to get a life!

hello everyone

my first post here - - wanted to give my story, too.

raised a jw, stayed in out of fear, painted myself into a corner and currently struggling to get out completely.

i know lots of people would say they don't respect someone who knows they don't want to stay but is staying for other reasons, like family & friends or whatever.

Welcome itsallgoodnow. I am glad the board has been of help to you. You will find that if you talk about things here, there are enough experienced people around to help you with what you are going through.

I guess I must of had it easier than most as I was alone in the truth and no one gave two hoots about me so when I decided it wasnt the truth I just stopped going. No one bothered me, heck I doubt if anyone even noticed I stopped going! Unfortunaltey that is no exageration wither which spaeks about love and all JW being loving and stuff.

The only thing I would say to you is that relationships based on lies are not really sound and healthy. Lived it for 18 years with myself and in the end had to live up to my truth and made huge changes etc but I am happier now and glad i did. My only regret is not doing it sooner and reporting the SOB to the police and kicking him out on the street.

I know its gunna be hard but is it worth all the energy that concealing something takes? If your family know you well, surely they would realise that something is not quite right? Usually I find when someone finally tells me something I really already knew what was happening from observation and stuff. Maybe its something though that runs deeper thats keeping you hanging on? Dunno only you can make the final decision and break away if that is what you want.

good morning!.

the days are getting longer..the nights are getting shorter..daffodils are poppin 'up.

spring is just around the corner.

No dont want the seasons to change just yet! I hang out all year for summer and finally in February we get it with everyday for the past week or so over 105 degrees (I think anyway in Australia is celcius and its been over 35 for a week or more with no end in sight). It hasn't rained for months so some rain might be good! Agggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh autumn is on the way though for us in down under land so dont wish winter on us! So what colour were the daisys and tulips???????????

What the longest U wasn't visited 4?

i have been visited only the once in 3 years,that was only b/c a `collegue' contacted them b/c i was interested(she had a `neighbour who was 1'.. so what was the longest period u wasn't visited?

I never had a cal even when I was pioneering. Shows how loving the congregation was I was in. This included when I went to the hospital three and four times in short succession and died twice and was obviously revived somewhat. Now isn't that a perfect examply of the true love of the true religion!
