i have read in recent posts that the new testement was written only for the annointed.

ask any elder =D i remember at one meeting that i was at, one of the elders told us that the "watchtower" was our bible. i kinda lost it after that. i think he might say he's annointed, but he's way way too young, so who knows.

Yes, he was the man who took another man's wife, made her pregnant, and then arranged for this man to be murdered to cover up his sin. Instead of Bathsheba or David dying, the innocent child died. This is the same king who knowingly had a census taken when God had forbidden it. When allowed to choose his punishment, he chose pestilence that led to the death of over 70,000 of innocent people. David and his family were not among the 70,000.
I always kind of refer to David like bin Laden because they both worship who they call God/Allah, but they aren't willing to take their own responsibility. an innocent child died, david blatently disobey'd rules, and he would choose to kill 70,000 innocent people.
Is David really a person to be looked up to?? If you are a terrorist or a heartless bastard, yea.

How long has man been on earth - an epiphany of sorts
by Dawn ini am a believer, but have struggled with some bible subjects.
the one that has caused me the most questions, and for the longest time (even as a jw) is the geneology of jesus found in the first 17 verses of matthew.. on the one hand there is an incredible amount of scientific evidence supporting man's existence here on earth for well past 6,000 years.
i did a thesis paper in archeology on dating techniques so i am familiar with these techniques and i believe they are credible.. i could toss this section of matthew aside as some sort of mistake except for another type of evidence - the mathmatical codes contained in these verses.

Breaking out of the Judgmental WTS mind set
