If it was he was doing these things behind your back, then it would seem to me that you were even more diplomatic than many a man might have been, given that same situation. If he was a much older man, then it would appear that you handled it in a very dignified manner, although age is not necessarilly reason to always handle things in a gentlemanly fashion, what's more important is the fact that you have your wife who supported you in your situation.

Letter to elder, does it make any sense?
by PinTail indear steve, since our last study together at our home i have had a few perplexing questions concerning the lunches and other communications with my wife pat while i was left at home, along with my never being asked to participate notwithstanding of who is paying for the meal; besides being her husband and head.. i have wanted to send this letter of inquiry concerning this matter, because it has weighed heavy on my mind, and also in view of the fact that don said at my door earlier with the other fellow that was with him, that you really liked me.
i feel you are a very good teacher as i mentioned to you on the phone as well as a wise man, so it is in this spirit that i have sent this letter to you.. after the last lunch that you and your wife had with my wife that was at lest two or three in number, me and my wife discussed why the questionings and mysterious arrangements that were apart from me appeared to be planed that way?
ever since that time i have mulled it over in my mind even at times waking up at night wondering just why there were these coordinated lunches to discuss studying or possibly other subjects, when i would never have restricted my wife?s desire to study even if i do have misgivings concerning some congregational policies.

Shane you are not alone in this, I spend quite a bit of time here myself as I'm desperately trying to heal from the psychological wounds of Oz. It's helped tremendously to be here, and my life has turned a 180 degree spin in the other direction because of having been allowed to share my joys, my pain, my tragedies, my simple minded sillyness, my spirit and energy, with so many of you here. You all are what makes a difference in everyday.
I look forward after taking care of the necessary things of life to be able to come here and fellowship, it's what makes my moment in many ways. Though many of you are without faces here, and I might never see any of you in person, you're the kind of people I wish I could have had as friends in the Borg.
Because of the board and finding out the truth about " The Truth " I am light years happier now than I ever thought I was in Oz. Simon, If you're listening, what you have accomplished here is a great thing, you must surely responsible for saving many Dubs life because of the life saving information here on this forum. For all of you who share, have shared or will one day, I give my heartfelt thanks. There's a blessing and a healing that's happening here.

Maybe the second because of the volatile nature of the relationship of the main characters Waters & Gilmour, down to an issue of wrestling for control of the Pink Floyd name itself during the break up and implosion of the band on their members.
It's been a lot of bad blood spilled between the two artist. Maybe, though I believe it highly unlikely, they might bridge the gap between the years of sucess they've shared as one of the popular musical acts in history, and their own accelerated egos at odds with each other.

Though I am a pre-Syd Barret Floyidian, the story regarding his begining is quite an eerie and obscured by clouds one in itself. The fact that drugs and a subsequent nervous breakdown were what lead to his downfall as the progenitor of the group.
Amazing as well, all the inordinate twist and turns taken within the group between Waters and Gilmour, all the way to their implosion after the Final Cut LP.
And here in the US, even after over 30 years, The Dark Side of the Moon continues to this day to be the #1 selling album in US history.

1) I've enjoyed Pink Floyd as an Obsession for years. I ve bought albums, too many to count, as I struggled with listening to such music, while still being a JW, many a copy of The Wall, The Final Cut and others, foolishly and ceremoniously were thrown into the river.
Who likes the Pink Floyd?
2)Favorite album The Wall. Second The Final Cut. Third The Dark Side of the Moon!!!
What is your favorite Album?
3) Wish you were here and everything after, upto and including their disbanding with Rogers' Solo Album The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking!
Which were their best years?
4) Roger for his blood curdeling, nightmareish screams, and Gilmore for his mastery at getting a guitar lick underneath your soul and using them as a means of exorcism of your deepest and darkest fears and humanizing emotional pain!!!
Who was your favorite member?

The only one I can associate with being Pink is the illustrious Roger Waters. Pink Floyd was for my family, friends and neighbors a menace to my upbringing as anyone of my ethnic background and skin color was deemed never to even be listening to such foreign music, definitely not music for a black person to have reason to listen to.
When the planes would come in at the onset of the walls opening, I would always turn the volume all the way up. In a small apartment complex, that's a no no!!! When the wall came crashing at the end of the album, the volume went way up as well, my neighbors all deemed me insane as to my particular choices of music.
And I Loved The Unwanted Attention!!!
