What happens on JWD!

sometimes you meet people that care about you.

then you find out they live across town!

then you find out you have soooooo much in common.....we have lost pretty much all our "friends"......maybe we have moved.......maybe we are dfd.....maybe be we have been marked like me.......thank you jwd.....and changeling!

Oh yeah, she looks like a Christian!

i'd say she'd make it real big with jim bakker.

and she'd likely be very welcomed into the amish community.

i remember all the single brothers were looking for girls that looked like her who were virgin elder's daughters.

Embracing Yourself. Do You?

have you ever met people who were so smart they were stupid?

i mean, really smart folk, but just.....not quite all there......i'm guilty of being an airhead.

it's not something i'm particularly proud of, but i've learned to own and embrace many of my shortcomings.

Have you ever met people who were so smart they were stupid? I mean, really smart folk, but just.....not quite all there......I'm guilty of being an Airhead. It's not something I'm particularly proud of, but I've learned to own and embrace many of my shortcomings. They actually help in rounding me off, making me more human. I don't believe in perfection, but it is something that I ascribe to, as a goal. However, at work as well as other areas in my life, these things can really get in the way.

I have a tendency not to think outside of the box; paint myself into a corner, Figuratively speaking, mind you, ....although........People can usually sense, that, "There's something different about him" or "He's strange" How many times did we hear "you must be perfect because your Heavenly Father is perfect."? Or, was that just the WTB&TS putting thier own personal spin on a way to get us to do more, be more, without...well, anyway,.... , I think you get the point.

The conditioning of being automatons has seeped itself into various aspects of my life. There are moments when its well recieved from being so rigid and inflexible, when it comes to documentation and detail, and there are other times when this type of stuff just completely gets in the way. Are you accepting the difficulty of being human with grace and acceptance? Or, does the pain of being human still have it's way, with you? Can you find reason to love yourself inspite of your flaws, failings, disapoinments and disillusionments? Is it, sometimes, wonderful to be human, or what?

i started a serious thread on cult mind control- so i figured i'd start a sarcastic funny thread, or serious, your choice how to explore it , on personal study !

i got so sick and tired as a witness with that expression being crammed down my throat !

I was passionate about my studies. I loved gleaning the fine points of a particular bible reading.

One instance where, if I'm not mistaken, Uzzah, who was killed because he touched the Ark of the Covenant. He would have never had to lay a hand on it, if they'd just did what it was they were told, regarding the care and concern for the precious item.

They traveled for some time getting the Ark from point A. to point B. Secondly, they weren't carrying the Ark, properly. It was to be carried on poles speciffically made of accacia wood. They desired to do things thier own way. They wanted to make things easer for themselves. I forget all the specifics, but had they only followed Jehovah's implicit instructions, to the letter as was required, Uzzah, although having the best of intentions regarding the Ark, my never needed to lose his life. The Ark began to fall over or tilt off it's center. Uzzah tried to prevent that little catastrophe but made everything worse by placing his hands on it and..............I guess you get the point..........
