Earthly Temple always to 1 high priest in DA heavens
by Sherwood inonce upon a time, jehovah god created adam and tested his perfect flesh, mind and heart as the first human regarding the spirit he would manifest, the soul he would become.
adam had the potential to be the father of mankind on earth for all eternity.
adam sinned in paradise on earth by being disobedient to jehovah gods rule (thus sovereignty) and lost that potential.

Anybody know this? CTR historical knowledge needed
by Sherwood ini think jesus was the first to introduce examining the scriptures with "types and anti-types" when he stated that elijah's returned was john the baptist (matthew 11:14).
being that jesus is the 'firstborn from the dead' (rev 1:5), this was not a resurrection of elijah, but a type to be examined thru the bible's history.
btw, ctr taught consistently in the wt and publications up to 1916 the examination of types and anti-types.

Jesus temptatation by Satan...a JW conumdrum
by logansrun insome liberal christians view the charachter of satan as being a symbol for the evil within humans which tempts us all.
the jws will often point to jesus being tempted by satan as being proof that this is an unreasonable explanation since "jesus was perfect and he could not have evil thoughts in him.
" now this raises a conumdrum for a similar, but related matter.. just what can a perfect person do or not do when it comes to "sinful" thoughts?

Gred Stafford Not committed--too afraid of being DFd!
by cyberguy inive just completed the reading of greg staffords latest book, "the three dissertations on the teachings of jehovahs witnesses.
" although i appreciate his point-of-view overall, i find that his writing is often difficult to follow and at worst, not forthright on doctrinal issues.
basically, i find his writings rather anemic, hes just not forthright; he evidently doesnt want to be dfd!
