  But they can't replace the "Live forever" book! The very first edition contains a letter which states "As long as Jehova draws back the great tribulation we want to use this aid in our lifesaving work" (own words because of translation)

  english grammar on John 1:1

  i am in need of some help in english grammar:.

  john 1:1 states "the word is god" or in the nwt "the word is a god".

  i don't need a theological discussion but only to know if english speaking people see a major difference in this little "a".

  in the above thread i said, ?to truely call yourself a jehovah's witness, you have to be one of the 144,000 (anointed).

  truthfully you can only truely be a champion or associate.

  Just to put in some confusion:

  (Isaiah 43:10) "YOU are my witnesses," is the utterance of Jehovah, "even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none.

  chosen has a reference to

  (Matthew 24:45) "Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?

  so "biblical" (from the NWT) - yes, only the annointed are JW's.

  i read something about the dubbers taking this anthem during the 2nd world war and making it into a dubber song.

  it sounds like one i remember as a kid.

  any one have any info on it?
