But why be happy? I think JWs will view it as their persecution because being no part of satans world.
They surely will continue in underground and maybe grow stronger like Malawi or similar events. And for the single JW life becomes more difficult.
moscow upholds ban on jehovah's witnesses
by maria danilova.
associated press writer leader of russian jehovah's witnesses, vasily kalin, right, jehovah's witnesses' canadian lawyer john burns, center, and spokesman for the jehovah's witnesses christian presber, stand in front of the moscow city court, wednesday, june 16, 2004. a moscow court upheld a ban on the city's jehovah's witnesses, ending a six-year case that reflected growing pressure to stifle minority religious groups in russia, where orthodox christianity is predominant.
But why be happy? I think JWs will view it as their persecution because being no part of satans world.
They surely will continue in underground and maybe grow stronger like Malawi or similar events. And for the single JW life becomes more difficult.
i alway's start the day in good mood, but suddenly my day went wrong when a storm came.

i cancelled all of my appointments.
.
because they are brainwashed into thinking that "distorting the truth" is ok in circumstance involved in defending their faith-theocratic warfare.
they constantly lie to themselves about what kind of person they really are and deny themselves life's pleasures-hence the "double life syndrome" lie to friends at school, lie to elders, lie to people in the cong.
... they don't know the (whole) truth.
for several years now i have been paying about $19 a year to yahoo!
for an expanded email box with 25mb of storage.
today i got an email from them with the following message... sounds like a good deal to me!.
So i would suggest to get a new free Yahoo! with now 100MB and save $19.99
i was looking in one of the more recent copies of the awake and there is a question from the readers on pinatas.
i won't go into the whole thing, but in the response, at one point, the awake says that (paraphrase) "the bible puts birthdays in a bad light.
however (and i love that word, 'cuz it implies, 'well, we've changed our minds again') if a practice has no current false religious attachments, then it is up to each individual to decide what they will do".....that's not verbatim, but it's close enough.
Hi TallTexan, you could take a look at the former discussion under http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/72560/1.ashx
hi folks, i have heard the latest news that in germany it is no more announced on the platform, when someone is disfellowshipped.. this fact in future will only be given privately to the brothers.. has anybody heard that too?
is that a typical german way because the seltersbrothers demand the status of a church to save taxes and get public subvention.. since 1990 they are keen to get this privlege but at present time they stay where they begun.. i remember when i studied with the witnesses some decades ago that an elder mentioned: we never would become church.
that is the key to concordates with the state, jehovahs witnesses would losse their clean status before god.. and now since the 90ies they change their doctrines in sbustituting military services and so on.. frere kelsey - vieux homme sans moustache, le duc des boissons du selters, pourquoi is est va comme ca?
Remember the question was
no more announced on the platform
so if it is private to some of them it is still known to all and they'll be able to "lovingly" ignore their former members.
i'm taking this philosophy class(oh no worldy wisdom) and the instructer mentioned how it always bothered him how abraham's god(yaweh or jehovah to us) had put him through the ordeal of even asking him to sacrifice his son.
i identified with this because it's something that always bothered me as well.
i know it was supposedly just a "test" but to me it doesn't seem like something jehovah would ever do when taking into consideration his characteristics outlined in the bible.
There is a part about true and false prophets in the bible. I found interesting what is said about a false prophet whos sign do occure:
***Rbi8 Deuteronomy 13:1-3 ***
"In case a prophet or a dreamer of a dream arises in your midst and does give you a sign or a portent, 2 and the sign or the portent does come true of which he spoke to you, saying, ?Let us walk after other gods, whom you have not known, and let us serve them,? 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or to the dreamer of that dream, because Jehovah YOUR God is testing YOU to know whether YOU are loving Jehovah YOUR God with all YOUR heart and all YOUR soul.
According to Jeremia 7:31 Jehova never thought of offerings of sons or daughters. If today someone would claim he heard a voice from heaven saying to kill his son we would say it was from demons.
...since i joined this board.
its been a blast and i've learn't so much from you guys.

just a question or comment about the 2004 district conventions.
is there a move by the wt society to have the district conventions in smaller venues??
or are they trying to lower their costs?
Another thought for having multiple smaller DCs was to give more brothers "privileges". This way they may feel something special or - because of the need - more urged to help out.

emotional effects of immorality, smoking, drunkenness, and drug abuse
The emotional effects are only present because the WTS tells it is bad. I myself had no bad conscious about some things i did in my youth (became a JW at 25) which are sins according to WTS teaching.
Who feels guilty when being "immoral" (according to WTS standard - and if it's not adultery), smoking, being drunken (ok, maybe ashamed) or "abusing" drugs (unless adicted)? Only those whom are telled to feel guilty when doing this. [Did i hear Mind-Control?]
A friend of mine mentioned that his son had more sexual experience than him (because of him growing up as a JW). The comment of the son? "That's your own fault" - so NO BAD emotional effects!
