  Funny thread - just today i've been in a school (15 year olds) to talk about my life as JW. I tried to make sure they understand somehow the sillyness of such teachings and how dangerous this lifestyle could be. As Stefanie said - it's a cult!

  One asked me "You've been 15 years running around just to make 2 new members and tell it is ok?" I read them Proverbs 27:11 " Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me. " and all laughed about me been the moron that believed this.

  i really must be on here too much - 4000 posts and counting.. supreme one seemed so far away, not that long ago.. now it's a mere 1000 posts away - a drop in a bucket, six months at most, surely.... it seems so long ago, that i protested giving up my light-saber in preference of the fullness of "the force" imbued by the "emperor class".. and now another impending transformation.... to which i say.... .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

  I bought a bible with references and commentary - geneva comments (?) - and also used many online versions like those on www.onlinebible.org or www.e-sword.net where you also could get some old timers like Barnes and Matthew Henry which are used by the WTS.

  many millenniums in six creative eras

  If the day is of 7000 years and creation lastet 6 days this surely would be "many milleniums" i.e. 42 (btw the answer to THE question). So where is the change in the doctrin? JWs are still creationists, only expressed in a vague way!

  This fits exactly with a popular song about Noah and the flood some years ago in germany:
  "Die Dinosaurier wer'n immer trauriger ... denn die Saurier dürfen nicht an Bord"
  "The Sauriers get sad and sader cause they are not allowed to get onboard"

  When i realized that official teaching is still that of creationist - i.e. 7000 years per creation day - it was just another nail in the coffin. Nobody told me when becoming a dub.

  k, so i'm not really lookin for it so settle down please everyone!.

  but really, am i the only one that would be tripping on watchtowers and awakes and when it came to sunday morning and you had to get your shite together tout de suite , there wasn't the right wt to be found anywhere?!?.

  Reminds me on a funny experience some years ago. At the WT-study i realized i took the wrong with me. So i looked into my wife's ones but that also appears to be a wrong one - though different from mine.

  I wouldn't call it "being on restriction" as i give them no authority and don't go to meetings anymore. That is: if they placed some i don't even feel them - unless of course i get DF'd and friends (from different congos) won't contact me anymore. But who should tell them about my status?
