  uuuugh, i feel like i have one foot in the grave right now.

  i am soooo miserably sick it is unbelievable.

  i really thought i was going to die yesterday, i had this horrible raspy cough and a super high fever, you know the kind that makes you feel as if you're moving under water?

  What do you belive happens to us after we die?

  i was raised a jehovah's witness and like most are aware, they presently belive that by and large everyone who dies ceases to exist.

  i accepted this fate for most of my life and i guess i still do for the most part, but now that i do not go to the meetings what am i to accept death to be, as i will die as well as my friends and family at some point.

  i think that idea of being in gods memory made sense to me as i have excepted it for forty five of my fifty years of being alive.

  I wish I knew what I believed. I am so confused now about this since I took away the only foundation of faith I have ever known. I'm almost afraid to believe there is something to hope for incase I find out that is lies too.

  when we post, we pretty much express who we are, at least in cyberspace.

  but every once in a while, we might get out of character.

  we might express ourselves in a way that we don't typically.

  I think there are times it does for me. If I have been upset about something I might even post about it. I don't think if I am angry about something that my posts are angry however. I don't take it out on other people.

  I can't believe they can do that! More evidence that they look out for themselves and not the people. But really they are only slaves any way, so this would fit. Glad to hear JT that you and your wife have things going for you now!

  what is the one thing that gives you a reason most to smile and get out of bed in the morning.

  you are bad Morty.. I know what the black knight is willing to share.. and what he is not..tee hee. Piph and Euph are safe to visit. We will flow them with laughs and alcohol and have a nice visit.

  oh it wouldn't get that much to get me to come visit.. although you and Euphemism are always welcome on our door too.. about to get a two bedroom so there will be plenty of room and as you and Euph know, this girl knows a little about alcohol too... oh.. yeah I never did say what made me smile in the morning.. that is seeing that handsome face next to me every time I wake up!

  Out of the mouths of babes

  i have just imd my 11 year old daughter - -because of family commitments they are not going to meeting tonight.

  i asked "are you pleased you do not have to go to meeting tonight?

  " she replied --- "dad" all indignantly --- i then replied "what" and she said " dad , nobody likes going to meetings it is just something we have to do" so it appears waht has been said on this forum is truth.

  well I didn't care to go until I got to my teen years.. and then I noticed BOYS in the cong. I couldn't tell you what was said on the platform, but I could tell you what cute boy was there and I must have turned around to look at the clock thirty times a meeting (thus casually looking at the boy or boys I had a crush on at the time) then meetings weren't so bad!!
  
  I also used it to gossip with my best girlfriend. You should see some of our study books. They were full of handwriting all in the margins between flowers and boys names and hearts and gossip about other kids between me and my girlfriend. When we were older and restudied some of the old books my friend said that she didn't dare show her kids, lest they are set a bad example. I remember her mother read some of the margins and said that we needed to get her old book and my old book together so they could figure out the conversations between them..
  
  so see.. there was some fun at the meetings. It just didn't have anything to do with the material being given!
