I grew up a jw in alberta, and i never saw them or heard of them spray paintung rocks, though. But, in god's country ontario, it could be. I could see bc jws doing it if it gave them a thrill.

I lived in Alberta for quite a while also but never heard of the painting on rocks there.

The more I think about it the more I believe it is a B.C. story.For anyone not familiar with B.C. it is a very mountainous area.There would be lots of chances for a little graffiti work there...back then nobody thought much about defacing rocks with slogans and scripture.Once again I heard this story when I was young...a long time ago and believe it to be true but might have been limited to a small area and small number of people.They didn't have the same amount of control on the congs as they have now so it might have just been some one interpeting the scripture for themselves.

hey if the trumpet blast of revelation can be talks and declarations at conventions from 1922-1928,,why should this interpretation of scripture be so surprising.

I think this crap has never been taken back so it must still be the TRUTH?

This makes them members of the antitypical stone class, "spiritual stoners" as it were.

No KHalls for Hurricane relief

eldubs in florida (maybe elsewhere too) have been told that the kingdom halls should not be used for relief efforts or for shelters.

liability and insurance issues were stated as the reason.. will try and get a copy of this letter.. of course the kingdom halls are supposed to be the center of true worship and a place of comfort but i guess only in fair weather.

what a crock.

I have to back the WTBTS on this one. People might come in injured and bleeding to the KH...But they claim it was because they slipped on the steps coming into the hall and are know going to SUE the WTBTS.

As we all know with the back log of lawsuits...clild molesting..etc the WT does not have extra cash ~~for lawsuits~~ to help those people.

We also know that at most the WT believes they only have a few weeks or months left before the big one (A) so why waste time and money on them when god's going to kill them anyway.

They other thing is worldy people have NO RESPECT.They will leave blood and mud all over the KH not thinking some poor SISTER will have to clean it up thereby neglecting her field service time.

The last point is they might try and STEAL WT and AWAKE mags without puting in the suggested (donation) for them.

Me and SOJ stand united on this issue.

I have a different thought about how they felt this was fulfilled in Canada. I could be wrong (hard to believe) but it seems to me that in the late 20s or early 30s they had a habit of painting bible verses or bible thoughts on large rocks by the side of highways and other roads. This also fufilled the prophecy about the stones crying out.I don't think I am making this up as it is something I have known for over 40 years but was it local to parts of Canada or more widespread???

for the last few years, many of my friends have lost their jobs and have not found suitable replacements.

most are on unemployment, and those whose unemployment has run out are simply eeking out some meager existence doing something they don't like, that doesn't pay well, and doesn't help to really reduce the stress they face every day.. well, to be honest, i used to laugh my ass off at them.

ha ha ha i would say.

No one is immune when it comes to 'globalisation' and often western employees are at a disadvantage because of the cheaper foreign labour, fewer employment legislations etc...

Attorneys for the Jehovah?s Witnesses said the acts took place before California law required clergy to report such abuses and that the lawsuit violates the church?s freedom of religion to deal internally with a church member.

A lawyer is a lawyer working for the WT or not.The only job they have is to get their client off. A technicality such as the amount of time that has gone by is a common tactic. Misfiled paperwork or an improper charge could also be listed. The WT has deep pockets and lots of lawyers so I am never suprised when they get let off the hook.

I remember years ago a friend faced an impared driving charge. In a statement the arresting officer stated that he smelled alcohol on the breath of my friend as the reason he was arrested. His lawer pointed out that alcohol does not have a smell. What you smell on a persons breath is liquor. CASE DISMISSED. There is no such thing as a JUSTICE system...only a LEGAL system.
