  Differences, on average, between men and women

  quite bizarrely, there are people trying their level best to blur the lines between man and woman, male and female.. so, i thought it a fairly good idea to list the differences, on average, between men and women.. ok, starting with the most obvious .... women have a vulva, a vagina, and internal gonads (ovaries); men have a penis and external gonads (testes).. women get pregnant, give birth and breastfeed their babies; men do none of those things.. men are taller than women.. men have greater upper-body strength than women.

  men have greater bone density and percentage of muscle mass than women.. women live longer than men (this is partly due to life choices and behaviour and partly due to genetics).. men have higher testosterone levels than women.. men heal more quickly from physical injury than women.. the sexual dynamics between men and women tend to be different, too.

  re sexual selection, women typically have their choice of the most suitable men.

  The sexual dynamics between men and women tend to be different, too. Re sexual selection, women typically have their choice of the most suitable men. Men are different, they tend to be desperate for sex and often f**k anything with a pulse, lol.

  Behaviour is also a phenotype, and we find that men and women differ in terms of behaviour and life priorities/choices.

  Men are more inclined towards high-risk/high reward behaviour whereas women tend more towards stability.

  The tabla rasa* hypothesis is actually on pretty thin ice - some studies on newborn babies have shown that males tend to be more interested in things whereas newborn females tend to be more interested in people's faces.

  Mean IQ for men and women is identical but women tend to be more clustered around the mean figure; men dominate the genius and retarded ends of the spectrum.

  Feminists love to cherry-pick gender disparities in certain lucrative and/or high powered jobs such as boardroom executives, STEM jobs, football managers, etc., but the reality is that gender disparity is commonplace across a variety of jobs and employment sectors.

  Here is a brief list of jobs/employment sectors where there are more men than women:

  1. STEM jobs
  2. 'Honorable' Members of Parliament
  3. Bricklayers
  4. Oil rig workers
  5. Sewage maintenance operatives
  6. Commercial fishing
  7. Electricians
  8. Security guards
  9. Police officers
  10. Military personnel
  11. Fire fighters

  And here is a brief list where there are more women than men:

  1. Nursing and midwifery
  2. General Practitioners (GPs)
  3. Baby sitters
  4. Nursery nurses
  5. Beauticians
  6. Make-up personnel for film and TV
  7. Costumer design for film and TV

  There is also gender disparity in our jails - approx. 90% of inmates are men, 10% are women.

  I can't think of any more differences at the moment but any additions and corrections to my list would be welcome.

  When you say state care it conjures up a picture of warehousing people and paying staff as little as possible - there are, of course, wrinkles to be ironed out in state care. But it's still better than strangling them at birth, which is what our current law allows.

  Aren't 9 month old Down's Syndrome babies considered to be persons and alive?

  Don't they have rights?

  Who will protect them and stand up for them?

  I'm seriously thinking of writing to my local MP about this. She has a legal background, I think.

  just to put it out there, the whole gender pronouns idea being pushed by the lgbtq+ minorities is just a way to try to hide the sin of homosexuality.

  if you can void people talking about your true sexual identity then it seems there is no sin anymore if two they or them of the same sex are together.

  example of the coverup: ("i don't identify as either gender"), so the kids i'm raising in a lesbian relationship need not speak of me as a mom or any other female term and we all don't have to feel any stigma attached to the true terms so, any shame we might feel is hidden anyway.

  fundamentalists find it easier accepting they've raised a girl who should have been a boy - indeed is really a boy - than to admit their daughter is a lesbian - yes, this is very worrying because there is a pressure from some parents and other trans activists to put gay kids forward for gender transition.

  In the UK, a court of appeal has recently overturned a ban on minors having gender transition treatment. This is bad news for all types of kids, but gay kids especially.

  I expect an avalanche of lawsuits further down the road because of this.

  In science, references are used to support statements, introduce some ideas that other scientists may propose, etc. They have a purpose. So, you can kinda imagine my reaction when I first came across references in movies a few years ago.

  I remember one youtube film critic talking about a scene in New Nightmare (1994) and how it 'referenced' Nosferatu (1921). Basically, a scene in which Freddy comes out of a bed and stalks across a bedroom, throwing his silhouette on the wall reminded him of the Count Orlok's silhouette. Er, and that's it. I remember asking myself at the time, what purpose do film references serve?

  And I still haven't found the answer, lol. One issue here is that film references and themes are a bit like seeing shapes in clouds or looking at a map of Australia and Tasmania and seeing a rabbit eating an apple. You see what you wanna see.

  E.g. another youtuber claims that The Hills Have Eyes (1977) gives a commentary on the Vietnam War. After I'd stopped laughing, I thought, Does it? If it does, it's an extremely shallow commentary. XD

  Critics even see themes that the director of a film hadn't intended. A great example of this is The Fly (1986) - some critics saw Seth Brundle's physical degeneration as an allegory for AIDS. Director David Cronenberg has patiently explained that this was never his intention but I'm not sure all the critics have taken his comments on board.

  Of course, not all youtubers or other film critics waffle on about references or themes, some concentrate on the functional elements of a film - writing, plot, dialogue, acting, effects, etc.
