  interesting report in a oxford university blog - the world is becoming less religious, (hurray!!!).

  it’s not clear yet, what they will be.. some suggestions; confiscate all guns.------buyback programs in each state.. there is much talk on social media that if this happens, the pandemic, + all the riots, + all the damaged property, + all the annual murders in america, - put together-will be like a sunday afternoon picnic, compared to all the deaths and property damage that will result because of “civil uprising” by millions of 2nd amendments advocates and just plain gun lovers.

  It's one thing to ask for 'reasonable' gun laws, it's another to get the American public onside.

  Let's just think this situation through …

  Biden will likely be US president soon, the Democrats having grifted their way to victory, funded by BLM.

  BLM want to defund the police.

  There has been a depressing decline in Democrat cities such as Chicago, San Francisco, Baltimore, etc.

  Why on earth would ordinary Yanks want to give up their guns? The current situation will likely mean that they'll cling on to their guns more, if anything. I believe I read somewhere that gun sales are going through the roof. I don't know if this correct but I wouldn't be surprised if it is, TBH.

  The Importance of Language

  language is obviously a very important thing.

  obviously, language is essential in conveying ideas - without it, we'd be screwed.. but it goes beyond that in terms of its importance.. first, it's a good idea to use accurate language, especially when talking about important things or discussing difficult topics.. second, we should be free to use the words we want to use.

  unfortunately, there is an attempt by certain people to control what words we can and cannot say.

  For older women the distinction may be important, because they don’t stop being “women” when they are no longer fertile - yes, you're right: after menopause, women are still women.

  When I originally said that the vast majority of women have eggs and are fertile, did you honestly think I meant that those women don't go through menopause? I thought that was a given, lol.
  

  Female fertility cannot be disentangled from the word 'woman' because most women are fertile for a certain period of their lives. This isn't difficult to grasp.
