But cutting ourselves off from a huge market - but we haven't done that. The UK and the EU can still trade, plus we can trade with Australia, Singapore, NZ, Malaysia, etc etc.
Long story short we have opportunities outside the EU, right

^^^ Ok, you win. Scotland can only get independence by breaking up the UK.
With this in mind, don't you think the break up of the UK should be decided by the whole of the UK electorate?
Or do you think the existence of the UK (population 65-plus million) should be decided by 5 million kilt-wearing Jocks?

How do you feel about Brexit?
I'm glad that the will of the UK electorate has been accepted and acted upon, and that the UK has become independent of the EU (which was foisted upon us without any referendum!).
Yes, Brexit could and should have been handled better, but the only option available in 2019 among the political mainstream was the tories. There was no other Brexit offered to us at the time by Labour or the Lib Dems.

^^^ But this isn't just down to the incompetence of British politicians such as Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak. EU politicians must also take some blame.

Here's the way is see it:
If Scotland propose to leave the UK (with the UK remaining but being somewhat smaller), then that's a matter for the Scottish electorate.
If, however, Scotland proposes to leave and break up the UK, then that should be a matter for the whole of the UK electorate.
From some of the conversations I've had with SNP supporters, they want to break up the UK, not just leave it. They seem to revel in the possible death of the UK. All this is driven by anti-English sentiment, even though tax payers south of the border help greatly with Scottish finances.
Rule 1: never bite the hand that feeds you.
However, if Scotland votes to leave then they should be left to leave.

The whole idea of Scottish independence is a bit of a joke anyway, TBH.
It's not really viable*, because Scottish independence would only have a chance of working if Scotland was allowed immediately back into the EU after leaving the UK. And even if that happened (which is not guaranteed), what currency would the New Scotland have? Euro?
*Independence from England would mean that Scotland won't be able to suck at the teat of Westminster, i.e. no more Barnet Formula, no free eye tests, no more free uni, etc. Also, you know all that oil Scotland supposedly has? Well, there might not be as much of it as the SNP claims.

This is exactly one of my problems with Lloyd’s behaviour, but he seems to be determined to advertise such objections as “they want me to be a pedo”…. What I actually want is for him to stop advocating for CSA victims as he is clearly not able to grasp the concept of consent which is a fundamental issue of CSA

I don't call Lloyd a rapist or a pedo.
All I'm saying is, when it comes to using sex workers, people like Lloyd can't be 100% sure that a) the sex workers are above the age of consent and b) that the sex workers aren't forced into it.
