This guy's death is not really any of my business but he was a famous person, a public figure, and usually in these cases a cause of death is given.
He was only 46 years old. How can a 46 year old die from 'natural causes'?
“a spokesperson from dorset coroner's office told the bbc that due to the nature of his death there would be no inquest.
no further details were given on cause of death by the coroner.” https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-65633872.
no "further" details were given?

i see they have updated their list of translations or versions where some form of yhwh or jhvh appears in the new testament.. https://www.jw.org/en/library/bible/study-bible/appendix-c/divine-name-new-testament-2/.
All the writings of the NT make it abundantly clear that the whole purpose of Jesus’ mission was to glorify God and his name - yeah, ok, but there is little evidence of Jesus actually using the divine name.
Jesus had a lot to say, but not much of that was 'Jehovah this' or 'Yahweh that'.
Jesus may have 'glorified God's name', but he didn't use it much, at least judging from the Gospels.

Whether or not the divine name appears in the NT, I'm sure we can all agree on the following:
The tetragrammaton appears many many times in the OT, then there's a huge drop off of appearances from Matthew onwards.
^^^ It's almost as if the divine name (Yahweh or Jehovah or whatever) wasn't particularly important to Jesus and the early Christians ...
we seem to have had an influx of religiots - the people who want to tell us all about how we / the wts / whoever are wrong, wrong, wrong about everything and how right they are.
they obviously have special insight, or voices (probably voices, right?
) telling them the real truth.. as proof, there is inevitably a wall of random scripture references and quotes.. sorry, but we're not here for that.
@BluesBrother
I think Simon doesn't want religious types preaching on his discussion board.
At least, that's how I understood his OP.
Kinda makes sense, really ...
i've filed this under news and world events, although i could've posted it under entertainment, lol.
apparently, joe biden will be seeking re-election for another term in the white house.. this, despite a recent poll showing that 70% of people don't want him to run again.. biden just has to be the worst president i've seen.
his gaffes, over-relience on a prompter, and, more than any other president, his refusal to answer journalists' questions, all go to make him top of the list in terms of bad presidents.. it will certainly provide entertainment, if nothing else..
No it doesn't - yeah, it kinda does.
Petty criminal George Floyd was unlawfully killed by a policeman in 2020.
Then BLM and other activists went ape, rioted, caused lots of criminal damage, burned down shit, etc.
Then, for some bizarre reason, the death of that criminal sparked similar scenes over here in the UK. Rioting, 'protests', statues being defaced and attacked, soccer players dropping to their knee (did George Floyd even like soccer? lol) etc.
That's just one example but there are others.

It’s obvious he went there for the amazing food only - yes, lots of fat, sad, single men go to Bangkok to sample the amazing cuisine.

Yeah it's hard to work out why he has so little credibility when it comes to his behaviour around women - Trump's behaviour may be bad but he has no filter.
When he says that rich and famous men can f**k whichever women they like, well, there's actually some truth to this.
It's a fact (objective reality) that some women are attracted to wealth and power.
That's why Trump (and other rich/powerful men like Muhammad Ali, Mick Jagger, David Bowie, John Lennon, Prince, etc etc) often have their pick of young, desirable females.
What's so difficult to understand about this?

To be honest, I struggled with that definition and that choice of words was mine - ok, fair enough.
because it is a civil case not a criminal one - why should a sexual assault case be a civil case, not a criminal one? <---- this is the key question.
All forms of sexual assault - be that rape or inappropriate grouping/touching - should be criminal cases, surely?
