Roe vs Wade Overturned by US Supreme Court!
by Simon ini know there was a leak a few weeks back, but this really does seem to have come out of the blue.. the anomaly was the original decision.
it clearly had no basis in law or the constitution, and was a flimsy, ridiculous ruling.
plus the whole thing was based on a fraudulent case in the first place.. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-61928898.

should realise the hideousness of the now inevitable back street abortions - the blame for any hideous back street abortions lies squarely with the pregnant women who choose to do this.
Adults must be held accountable for their behaviour and life choices.

Secretary (2002) - a film David Lynch could've made, lol
by LoveUniHateExams inhas anybody seen secretary (2002), starring maggie gyllenhaal and james spader?.
it's kinda weird and surreal, like something david lynch could have made.
also, the film was scored by long-time lynch collaborator angelo badalamenti.

So no super-heroes then? - er, no, no super heroes in this film, lol.
It's just kinda weird. It's not 100% serious but not 100% comedy.
The best way I can describe it is saying it's a film David Lynch could have done - completely surreal.
I so want to describe a particular scene and a one-liner that made me laugh my socks off, but the scene in question actually is worse than the sadomasochistic spanking that occurs in a previous scene.
I ain't saying nothing, lol

So now each individual state will determine abortion rights for the people living in that state.
I actually don't have a problem with this.
For years abortion has been the go-to when a woman has slept around or had a consensual one night stand and regretted it. Only a minority of women seeking abortions are rape victims.
There's a much better way than having an abortion: and that's don't get pregnant in the first place if you don't want to bring up a baby.

I SUPPOSE IT IS TIME FOR A GRAMMAR LESSON - yeah, ok, let's talk about grammar. When I refer to myself, I use the first person singular pronoun (I or me). So does everyone else, because it would be very odd for people to refer to themselves using a third person pronoun.
I can also correctly say that Taylor's personal pronouns are she and her, because it helps her feel comfortable about herself - people don't own third person pronouns. I'm a biological male, and there is a consensus in society to refer to biological males as 'he/him', but if someone were to call me another pronoun e.g. she/her, there'd be nothing I could do about it, just accept it. In fact, that happened to me for a while when I was a JW, I still had 'worldly' friends and they would call me she/her because I would not join in swearing/cursing, talking about girls in a misogynistic way, etc. My name's Philip but they would call me 'Phyllis'. I couldn't make them call me Philip, lol. So I just had to put up with it.
as long as she asks nicely, then what is the big deal? - it's a slippery slope to compelled speech. And it's wrong to insist that other people use certain words; it goes against freedom of speech and expression.
This particular person may have asked nicely, but there are other people who demand it, rather that asking nicely.
Taylor for personal reasons wants to be thought of as female - this person is free to identify as female. But it's a bit silly to make others have this exact same view.My issue with Taylor was coming in here and demanding respect instead of earning it - yes, that is a good point.

Maggie Gyllenhaal is Lee Holloway, a woman who gets a job as a secretary in Mr. E. Edward Grey's (played by James Spader) law firm.
It's strange and off-beat, and some scenes feature sadomasochism (- WTF?!), because Mr. Grey has a very different way of dealing with Lee Holloway's spelling errors and other mistakes.

In a world of bland, cookie-cutter movies which rely too much on special effects, this film, written by Erin Cressida Wilson and directed by Steven Shainberg, could be an interesting alternative.
Thoughts?

What if Evans wants to be seen as morally upright? - exactly, lol.
Lloyd Evans self-identifies has morally upright, therefore we all have to see him that way or we're a bunch of bigots!
That'll probably be part of his court case, lol

Is she wants to be called she, call her she - sorry, it seems you fundamentally misunderstand how human interaction works.
Human interaction is a two-way street.
People are free to see themselves a certain way; what they're not free to do, however, is force everybody else to view them as they view themselves.

Dear Female ExJWs
by Simon injudging by some forum comments and tweets, it seems like some female exjw's feel they are being ignored or excluded from things.
i thought i'd share my views.
what could possibly go wrong .... first, i think it's unfair to post and judge people based on a private chat shared without permission and posted without context.

I do not believe in feminism as it is sold to the public - feminism has now probably outlived its usefulness, at least in first world countries.
It was necessary in the 70s, but not today.
If you go through all the Western countries, most women don't self ID as feminists. In the UK, US, Australia, etc., only a minority of the women are feminists.
I believe true equality comes from earning your way - quite right.
Thing is, crazy third- and fourth-wave feminists don't want equality - what they actually want is special treatment.
So, we get crazy feminists cherry-picking data such as 'only a third of STEM workers are women', which totally ignores the fact that there is gender imbalance in a whole range of jobs.
(Think about it: do you really think there's a 50-50 gender representation in brick-laying, oil rig operatives, sewage maintenance workers, fire fighters, stunt drivers, nurses, beauticians, etc.)
My take on the current situation: feminists are failing many many women by implying that they can have it all - hands-on motherhood to 3 kids and making senior partner in a law firm or becoming company CEO. And it's bullshit advice, if we're being honest.
The world's a tough place - to accomplish anything worthwhile you need to make sacrifices.
The good thing is that most women are far too sensible to be completely taken in by current feminist bullshit
