and that was done and there were traces of fentanyl in his system - and was the level of fentanyl agreed upon by all the doctors?

Derek Chauvin - The Right to a Fair Trial
by Simon inanyone following the derek chauvin trial?.
if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.
there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?

What police have to deal with
by LoveUniHateExams inso, the actions of cops have come under scrutiny in recent days, what with the trial of derek chauvin and the death of daunte wright.
i certainly hope justice is served in both those cases.. what is easy for people to forget, is just what police officers have to deal with on a regular basis, during their interactions with citizens.. here's a video breaking down one such interaction.. a car owner was driving his car but the tags weren't legally displayed.
cops wanted him to pull over but the driver continued driving for a mile and a half with a police car following with sirens and lights.

@Justmemorph - here's what should be done, as a social experiment.
First, explain and warn local people of a chosen city of this experiment, give them time to leave if they want to.
In one US city the police should be defunded. All cops should leave, get the f**k outta there.
And you and people who agree with you should go live there.
Sounds good to me ...

One thing I want to nail down: how much fentanyl did George Floyd have in his bloodstream?
Are there conflicting reports of fentanyl levels in his blood or what?

Did all of the attending cops not know that cutting off a person's breathing capability such a choke hold or knee against the neck could cause an individual to blackout and possibly die ? - the cops were following local PD procedure at the time.
I certainly can see criminal negligence manslaughter in this incident - yes, me too.
He wasn't strung out high when the arrest took place, that can be confirmed by the video - you can't confirm whether or not someone has drugs in their system by watching a video. A qualified medical person needs to do a blood test.
Someone who is high on fentanyl doesn't act like that - one adverse effect of fentanyl is respiratory depression. In the worst case scenario, if someone ODs on fentanyl they can suffer chemical asphyxia.

Justice served - yeah, maybe. I'm not in possession of all the details of the case, so I can't say for sure. I'll certainly go along with it. I'm not sure Joe Biden believes the guilty verdict was justice, though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iVdsRiFnRc
Biden says he wants to usher reform that will mean black and brown people won't get killed by cops. Well, I've got a very simple solution. US citizens: comply with officers of the law. <--- not difficult, is it?
Biden also mentions systemic racism in the US criminal and justice system. Chauvin was fired and arrested immediately after killing Floyd, and was recently found guilty on all counts. I'm not sure systemic racism even exists in American institutions.

The choice of being alone has never been clearer.
by pistolpete insomething i've noticed is that marriage was the thing for those born before 2010. but today's culture of divorce laws slanted to favor women has forced men to think carefully before signing the marriage certificate.
most of my friends have no intentions of getting married.
all of them have gotten vasectomies, so there is no chance of being blamed for a pregnancy.

Marriage can be good if it's what a couple genuinely wants.
But the JWs practically force marriage onto its members, including born-ins.
Members know that if they have any kind of relationship outside traditional, heterosexual marriage, then they're gonna be shunned and lose their family & friends, their support network.
They also know that the WTS frowns on masturbation.
Personally, I wouldn't get married.
It seems to be slanted in favour of women, e.g. if I was worth £1 million and got divorced, my ex-wife could get £500,000. That would be one high-class escort, lol.

Do you understand the type of stop this was? - this was originally a stop to check the vehicle's tags.
Do you understand that these stops must rest on reasonable suspicion the suspect is a dangerous felon? - the stop escalated because of non-compliance on the part of Nazario and confusing orders issued from the cops.
Nazario's non-compliance was bad, and the cops issuing confusing orders was bad.
With respect, LUHE, you've picked a horrible example - ok, fine. Do you want to look at the other examples I've given in this thread?

Over population
by mickbobcat inso i see some very counter intuitive videos on how there is no over population issue.
that the world will grow to about 11 billion and stop.
well that would be the first time in human history that population just stopped.

@PistolPete - the guy in your video (Alex O'Connor) is an intelligent guy, but on the subject of Veganism he's an extremist.
He doesn't just want factory farms to stop, he wants all use of animals for food, clothing, etc., to stop. Him calling the animals in these farms 'inmates' is a bit of a clue to his Vegan extremism.
He also said 'humans are just animals, too' but whines because we still eat meat. Well, if it's good enough for a lion or crocodile then it's good enough for me, lol.
Yes, there's a strong environmental argument for humans to ban animal farms and cut down on eating meat. But that will never be enough for lunatics like O'Connor.

That goes without saying after the fact - yeah, it often isn't said, lol.
As I mentioned early Floyd has to bare some responsibility for what happened to him - so, yeah, Floyd should have gotten in the cop car, even though most media didn't say this.
Bottom line: citizens - comply with the cops.
Police officers while on duty have to have the cognitive awareness to be in control of a situation - agree. Chauvin could have stopped kneeling on Floyd once Floyd was on the floor, unarmed, and cuffed. <--- But how was this murder beyond reasonable doubt? (manslaughter - yes … but murder?)
The use of deadly force by acting police officers against a individual who is suspect of a crime has to have its limits - it already does.
