¯\_(ツ)_/¯
See You Next Tuesday
i remember there was a brother in my congregation while i was in who would comment at all meetings but if asked to pray at a meeting or meeting for service he would always politely refuse.
i always found it odd, i assumed as a young bro, that a bro was kind of obligated to pray if asked.
knowing what i know now, it could have been a guilty conscience or maybe he just wanted to be lowkey.
3: Classified as a 'Sexual Predator' by the body of elders (such ones usually aren't allowed privileges beyond preaching per instructions from headquarters)
Unlikely? Because I'd have presumed the body of elders would have known not to ask him then - maybe a M/S at a F/S arrangement might ask him?
5: Under restrictions - but again unlikely due to above
I think it's just nerves - HereIgo says he just answered up - no school items? no platform demos? - so much more likely to be nerves

Hi Simon
Context is king when it comes to posting rules
That's cool - tbh it was more the double f-word use.
But also, I suppose, it was a strange rant/useage, as this is an example of the 'elders' and 'governing body' very much taking a back seat and letting the court/hospital take the lead, without any drama or f'ing and blinding.
Which is probably the best compromise and the reason why I wanted to flag this up with OrphanCrow.
The parent's made written representations regarding their wishes and did not attend the court, the hospital was happy to follow those wishes, with the priviso that they could adminster a blood transfusion, if needed. The judge agreed. End of case. I thought the brief write-up and comments of the Judge were interesting, which is again why I flagged it up for OrphanCrow.

there's been discussion on this forum about the wt's preaching campaigns in israel - here's an interesting article with pictures.
a rare glimpse into the insular world of israeli jehovah's witnesses.
the state refuses to recognize them and they have been victims of harassment.
whereas elders are deleted
No not deleted, removed as a congregation co-ordinator (CBE/ old PO) or a circuit overseer if they're over 80 (I think) - they are not deleted as elders.

I suspect that NOBODY does that in Mea Shearim
But considering the WT HQ was in Brooklyn for many years....
And Brooklyn / Borough Park has one of the highest populations of ultra-orthodox Haredi outside Israel (and see when they come out to protest in New York City on the youtubes below - and that's only the men)
And I even think a few of the old WT HQ buldings where located within Eruvs

now comes this.....
The virtual reality production, Disfellowshipped, is attempt to push forward the possibilities of immersive storytelling. To tell a narrative, character-rich, document-rich, investigative story in VR.
Disfellowshipped revolves around Debbie McDaniel, an ex-Jehovah’s Witness in McAlester, Oklahoma. Debbie says she was sexually abused by the top elder in her congregation for five years, starting when she was 8 years old. In the aftermath, she lost her family, her friends and her faith.
The result is an experience we hope helps open up the possibilities of VR storytelling and gives our audience a more powerful understanding of a tragic issue that affects thousands of people around the world.
