"Greggs To Move Across the Road With Room for Seating"
haha! I saw that too
You're probably gonna have to explain it to a lot of people on this forum tho....
tl;dr: if you live either in scotland or in other parts of uk and you don't mind traveling, you might be able to help a fellow ex-jw by being present during a courtcase where she alone has to face more than two dozens of jws who have ruined their business.
please contact me directly for details on when and where the court case will be held (i will know these details in few days probably).
ps.

in the letter of 21st may 2016 the gb explain that examining the scripture and yearbook will be available at beginning in october ... .
then we are the 26 octobre 2016 ... i saw examining the scripture ... but not yet yearbook .... is the gb modifying the figure of annual report ?
or the partakers ?
I think last year the 2016 Yearbook came out online maybe December 25, on a Friday. (Funny, I know, but I think that was the day).
Yes, seems right - unfortunately this forum's software seems to only show how long ago a post was originally posted - ie '10 months ago', but according to the link below, Friday 25 December 2015 seems correct.

[People may remeber that the annual worldwide service report was once included in the January 1st Watchtower, then shifted to the February 1st Watchtower but in more recent years is no longer published in the Watchower but only in the Yearbook.]
And some people might also remember that, for one year only, as part of the change over, it was printed as a four page insert in the February 2008 Kingdom Ministry
Traditionally the Worldwide Annual Report Chart was printed in the Watchtower 1st January edition - which was normally the first time that the publishers saw the annual numbers, probably around late October/November.
In addition it was, and so far has continued to be, printed in the Yearbook, but these would often arrive 'late' to a lot of congregations, probably around late January, February, or even March.
The WT missed the Jan 1st Watchtower in both 2004 and 2006 when it was printed in the 1st February edition instead.
2006 was the last time it was printed in the Watchtower.
In 2007 it was printed in the February Kingdom Ministry as a one-off.
The figures are now only printed in the Yeabook.

WTS Archive:
The newspaper that will cover the story is either The Daily Telegraph or Sunday Telegraph (they've apparently didn't decide yesterday which one will take it).
slimboyfat:
Evening Telegraph in Dundee that would make sense
Does the Tele print on a Sunday?? Doesn't it just do a Saturday/Weekend edition?

I'm curious about all these Polish JWs in Scotland it would be interesting to meet some.
I think you'll find a fair number were already JWs before moving to Scotland.
And remember there's apparently meant to be a historical ongoing relationship between the two countries

apart from the interesting block color change for the title strip on the front page.... the new 2017 wt mag has some new (updated printing figures):.
2016: produced each issue: 58,987,000 available in 282 languages .
2017: produced each issue: 61,651,000 available in 294 languages.
Hi slimboyfat
I don't think they count downloads do they?
Why not? Downloads are counted as placements nowadays on the WT report form at the end of each month....
Anecdotally there are comments that they're progressively priniting less each month - yet figures above claim an annual increase - so it would kinda make sense if downloads were included (and they know which magazine issues are being downloaded - so they could do a fair estimate, but of course there will be a few publishers doing multiple downloads of the same magazine on various devices (including app)

Hi Doubting Bro
Interesting they say produced instead of printed. I wonder how much of that number includes downloads?
Yes, interesting turn of phrase....
2017: Produced Each Issue: 61,651,000 available in 294 languages
2016: Produced Each Issue: 58,987,000 available in 254 languages
2015: Printing Each Issue: 52,946,000 in 228 languages
2014: Printing Each Issue: 45,944,000 in 212 languages

don't think it's been mentioned here before, but it seems like the cache creek congregation is no more?.

Hi blondie
There is a KH near me that is dead center in the assigned territory but no one lives in that town. Everyone lives 30 miles on the periphery.
Haha, yeah, wouldn't be surprised if that was similiar here too, considering how sparse / spread out it looks around Cache Creek
Publishers living closer to other KH's, but travelling to support the CC congregation, but can't move themselves to nearer hall as they need to support the small CC congregation
The CC hall looks small - that's why I added the picture - so they're probably all happy to be at other halls now.

This is Cache Creek - population 1,000 - in British Columbia, in Canada - (here's looking at you steve2 )
The closest KH's are all about 85 miles away by road - four of them! - each about the same distance away
Mind you the congregation members may have all lived closer to the other KH's anyway
