  being in "the truth" forever, i keep (frustratingly) finding myself humming kingdom songs unintentionally.

  it frustrates me when i find myself doing it!.

  so today i got this song in my head, and couldn't get it unstuck, so i decided to write alternate lyrics to it... when i get that tune in my head now, i'll have words that work!

  I know what you mean about realities seeping into your slumber.

  Sometimes my dreams feel so real , when I wake up I have to reorient myself. Or I have to stop a think if it really happened or was it a dream?

  Have you ever had a dream within a dream? Where you dream and wake up only to discover you are still dreaming?

  Coco thanks for sharing. I love your writing. When I read your words, the first thing I thought of was awaking to TTATT and sometimes wishing I was still asleep. Seeing the real truth can be brutal most like a living nightmare, realizing that your whole life was a lie.

  But you were probably being literal?

  Ditto what they said^^^^^^.

  As a child that was the only special day to look forward to. Disrupting it is not cool.

  I saw some youtube clips of memorial disruptions and the disrupter always ends up looking like a jerk and the JWS look like victims.

  I was going through my old posts and found this thread. I thought it was funny and enjoyed rereading it. Does anyone have any new ones to add?

  If you get insulted or scared when you are told you are an independent thinker you may be a JW

  If you send your ice cream money to the society you may be a jw child

  If you assume a couple is engaged because they are sitting next to each other and holding hands you may be a JW.

  Stunned silence , then uncontrollable laughter:

  "And they said I was crazy!" Said the guy who just told us how he was kidnapped and tortured as a child by aliens who have infiltrated the government. ( we just got through telling him how God would destroy the wicked and how we would live in paradise worry and pain free and how God would bring back the dead. )

  We backed away slowly, not making any sudden moves and got the he'll out of there.

  That got me to really thinking. Even the crazy guy thought we were nuts.

  Refuting Watchtarded Reasoning - 2. Does the use of "abstain" at Acts 15:29, necessitate avoiding more than just the eating of blood?

  in my first post refuting watchtarded reasoning - 1.

  "if a doctor tells you to abstain from alcohol, you wouldn't inject it..." steve and several other posters made the pertinent point that when the blood-alcohol analogy is refuted, jws will simply fall back on the reasoning that the use of the word "abstain" means to avoid taking it in by any means.

  since this is indeed another common line of watchtarded reasoning used by jws, i've decided to make it the subject of this, my next refutation.. abstain is indeed a word with somewhat of a broad meaning, or more accurately, a broad usage.

  I never thought I would consider a blood transfusion. That teaching of abstaining from blood was so ingrained.

  Even now my knee jerk reaction would be to reject one. But I think I would be more likely now to have an open mind and not dismiss it all together

  That is why posts like yours are so important.

  which world is this?_________________when the doctor pulled my screaming body out of mom all those 7 decades ago, i landed in a post-wwii world.it was--compared to today's world--an alien planet.. the world i live in today has nothing in common with the world in which i grew up.. there were no cell phones back then--there were black telephones with a dial-tone and an operator who placed your call.

  everywhere you found telephone booths!

  a call was a nickle.where did all those telephone booths go?i dunno.where did my whole world go?i dunno.. tv sets were huge boxes with tubes and small screens.

  I enjoyed the trip! I am a little behind you as I was born in the 60's, but I can relate.

  I was a free-range child: we left the house and did not report back until supper time or dark, which ever came first.

  I still remember my sisters and I riding our bikes to the beach, (at least a 30 minute bike ride)and staying all day without my mom checking on us.

  I look back and shake my head. I was 13, my sisters were 10 & 11. But boy did we have a blast!
