  What comforts you when you no longer believe in a ressurrection ?

  our family just lost someone dear and very close, a faithful jw.

  as we went through the entire funeral services and meeting long time brothers and sisters, who in general have been very kind and warm towards us, we realize that the hope of resurrection is a meaningless utopia for us, like a fairytale for little children.

  we don't have faith in it anymore, and serves us of no comfort.

  Attacking the elders, can that bring down the cult??

  the borg has left out in the cold the victims of child molesters all to save their reputation and have used the elders to do their bidding in these evil works.

  they have even made changes to their policies to put more of the responsibility on the elders.

  so if the lawyers of these molestation victims which normally go after the money ie the borg were to also aggressively go after these elders in these cases could this not start a ripple effect where by elders find out and start resigning en mass to protect themselves knowing the borg not going to help them?.

  I am wondering if the WT can make the case that the elders "evidently" didnt follow their instructions carefully, therefore the WT is not responsible.

  ((Scully)) Thanks for your heart felt post. I think that explains why my nephew's death hit me so hard. Having that crutch torn away can be so unbalancing. But freeing. The dead loved ones are not hostages to use to keep us in line any more.

  the bible does say that the "day of jehovah" (armageddon) would be associated with the sun becoming dark followed by the moon turning to blood.

  but the moon turning to blood is specific to a total lunar eclipse.
