  *** The Annual General Meeting 2003 ***

  ok, no one seemed to notice, but the annual general meeting came and went around october 4th i think.. did anyone go, know anyone that went, or know what may have been discussed?.

  apparently, there are a limited number of tickets issued.

  part of the meeting is a business meeting.

  She said it would be untheocratic for her, as a sister, to give out any information before the Governing Body dispensed of the material, either through a letter or by an announcement, or as you mentioned recordings.

  My brother and his wife didn't mention too much about what was said at this annual meeting. Except that "We're in 235 lands and over 300 languages".

  One older sister from my congregation who was invited a couple of years ago said it is supposed to be kept quiet, what is said at the annual meetings...that it would be untheocratic to tell others at the KH what had been discussed.

  A Strange Coincidence...the sky is falling!

  something strange happened to me yesterday on the subway coming home from work.

  an awake article, the one about "the internet and pornography, who does it effect" fell right at my feet.

  i looked around to see who dropped/threw it down but didn't see anyone.. my first jw-paranoia thought was that i was followed by a jw spy and they dropped it so i could see it.

  You're right...I wish I could kick out the JW paranoia terror I feel sometimes!!! I don't know if I will ever outgrow it.

  I enjoyed reading that, I am trying to eat healthier, my worst addiction is coca cola or pepsi...in fact I am having a pepsi right now and it is only 9:16 in the morning.LOL

  Something strange happened to me yesterday on the subway coming home from work. An awake article, the one about "The Internet and Pornography, Who Does It Effect" fell right at my feet. I looked around to see who dropped/threw it down but didn't see anyone.

  My first JW-paranoia thought was that I was followed by a JW spy and they dropped it so I could see it. It stayed on the floor of the subway the whole ride home. It is an old issue, so I didn't think it could have been placed with someone and then that person may have thrown it down.

  It is kind of funny...when my roommate and I first got our computer, I had gone to the post office with my cart to pick it up and on the way home I was approached by a local brother and he went all over me about buying the computer..."You know that's one of Satan's tools". Yea, well why does Bethel have so many of them.

  welcome to the forum, haven't read all of your story but from this thread sounds like they treated you rotten. but take courage, because it is true people like you who are bringing to light the sexual abuse within the organization. And standing up for what you believe and for what is right is far worth more in God's eyes than following along like a mindless soldier.

  they like to use that word selectively...good when it suits them (3rd largest religion in France)...and bad as in get out of False Religion/Babylon the Great if you do not wish to share in her fate...

  get this harsh ruling to the media...pronto!!

  go to your search engine and enter newspapers....it'll give you a ton of 'em....start clicking, emailing them a copied and pasted version of the canadian justice's decision against vicki boer in her case....get the word out....also, do the same regarding the tv news media...cnn, larry king, 20/20, 60 mins., 48 hrs., etc.....flood them with emails.... .
