Has the Royal Commission website removed Geoffery Jackson from schedule?
by Indian Larry inearlier this morning the royal commission website stated:.
"the royal commissions public hearing into the jehovahs witnesses will recommence in sydney on friday 14 august 2015 at 11:00am.. it is anticipated that the hearing will hear from one witness, mr geoffrey jackson, a member of the governing body of jehovahs witnesses.
"now that has been changed.

Geoffrey Jackson will attempt to DF them all, shun them, take away their privileges, write a WT article on them, have the elders talk to them etc... & then the "Oh shit" look on his face moment when he realizes he has no power outside of his pinky ring club. -

This too Shall Pass (RC Commission vs WTS)
by undercover inwhile i'm glad that the practices of the wts are under review and the australian commission is taking them to task, i'm not really expecting huge changes in the long run.
oh, they may have to agree to some changes in how they report crimes brought to elders' attention, but this excitement over the supposed expose of wt practices shall pass, and jws will soon be canvassing neighborhoods and rolling their carts, looking for converts.
conventions will go on.

It all depends on how many more cases get started because of the commission. This could either die down after or the other outcome is that it causes more people to come forward, more lawsuits, and more countries looking into the JW's.
I think the 2nd is most likely the outcome. The "clean" jw name has really been ruined this time. It's the ultimate conversation stopper to use on a JW.

Wait, is this for real or a joke?
I kid you not, this organization has got so sad and desperate in the last 5 years I can't tell if this letter is real or not.

"And what happened next was simply unbelievable!"
by Terry ini always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.
i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.
so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

One thing all this child sex scandal did is make it an automatic defeat for a JW the second this is brought up at the door.
In the past, you could get in a debate with a JW and it would never really go anywhere. It was one person arguing a thought or belief against another person with a different thought or belief. It was hard to get anywhere.
Now, you bring out the trump card, it's an automatic loss for a JW! As this "demonstration" shows, there is no way for them to turn this around. Who the heck wants to sit there and try to defend child sex abuse?

It's stupid on their part to not read up on the relevant information before testifying. It shows disrespect for the proceedings and also handicaps themselves.
I'm going to assume they did. It was most likely told to them not to, or to come across as not knowing. They came out looking really dumb and uneducated though.
Based on how little they knew and how "dumb" they came off as, I'd be terrified to have them looking after my "spiritual life".
These are the same guys that can DF someone, make a judgement in a JC meeting, handle child abuse, look after the congregation and 99% of their answers were "I don't know" or "I wasn't aware"! That's scary the amount of power these clueless elders have.

This happens to all those who are called upon by the commission. After that......the real work begins....Please trust me on this.
Can you expand on what you mean by this? Thanks!

how often were we told the Holy Spirit cant recall to your mind what wasnt put in your mind by YOU?
I never understood that line of reasoning. Of course if you put it in your mind, you'll be able to recall it. That's not holy spirit, that's a thing called "studying". People do it in college, all the time, although JW's wouldn't know that.

believed that biblical line about "what to say will be given to you" by the Holy Spirit.
So far, this verse has not applied for them. If anything, the other way around. If I believed in God and thought he got involved, I'd have to say he's bringing to light about the JW and showing them to be false.
How can a JW watch these videos and think Holy Spirit is helping them out in anyway, let alone helping them "speak". If anything, holy spirit is making them speak in "tongues". Unfortunately, not one the commission nor anyone else understands the language.

I've been catching up on the videos and news articles. The elders, lawyers, branch members, hired reports are all getting slammed! That dude has a response and point to bring up on everything! Almost every person on the JW side has been squirming in their seats!
Their answers aren't even good! They're that of a child. Did they not go over ahead of time to come up with good answers?
I thought it'd be bad but this is a complete slaughter! Every minute of the video I watch the JW look worse and worse. Did they not prepare for this event?
These dudes kick butt and leave no stone unturned! Better yet, the JW logic and loop hole attempts are being brought out right away! They're seeing all the BS that the average JW takes years, if ever to see!

As loathsome as the organization's presidential predecessor, Rutherford was, he actually fronted up in public and defiantly nailed his colors to the mast. The modern-day JW organization sticks to its airbrushed, tightly controlled appearances safe from scrutinizing inquiries.
You could get away with that then. Now, it'd be all over YouTube, forums, reddit, news, blogging sites etc... JW land is having a hard time in the information age. Their 1 website is dwarfed by thousands of others, YouTube videos, blogs and so on.
