I can't believe he slinked away after his sycophantic creepy approach to the RC, then in the safety of his "castle" allowed his lawyers, 30 helpers or whatever.......write up this complete rebuttal to all he had so "humbly" considered to be "good questions" during his testimony.

I am disgusted, furious, I hate them all for the liars they are. Do they really think they will get away with this? I will push for banning. I'm sick of this lying. Bring him back out of his "safe place" force him back to remain in Australia at the RCs pleasure to "assist" with ongoing investigations.

Canada Branch Finances - What's Going On?

an update on the canada branch hasn't been made (i think).. year-over-year, canada's equity decreased by 11 million in 2012, 17 million in 2013.. however, the 2014 report shows a huge increase (20 million) in the cost of "purchased supplies.

" with the shrinkage of the mags, and the push to online, how the heck did this go from 39 million to 58 million?.

even with this number, the equity in 2014 went down by a staggering 56 million.. what the heck is going on?.

Very very interesting material. I recall about two years ago or a little less, that all kingdom hall loans were "forgiven" in Australia.

But the forgiven loans were a ruse. It was made very clear that the same amount of money as the so called forgiven loan, was to be donated. (This on top of the weekly donations always made by the congregant's)

All members were given forms to take home and fill in. They were asked to budget a portion of their income to include a regular donation that would be counted up at the end of their fiscal month.

This left some very bemused people who were in Halls that were paid off decades ago. These properties had gained in value in a huge way. And some were sold off. Quite a few but I don't know the number. That money went somewhere, but no one really knows where. (your' suspicions are as good as mine)

Congregations were merged to allow up to three meetings in some instances.

WTBTS Australian send a good portion to America, and from there it is allocated to ...who knows where.

Ironically, it has backfired in some ways for this reason. Having made this promise of a certain pledge per family. It became evident that this pledge was not always going to be met. In many cases people had things to fix in their own homes, or kids clothes to buy for school....or perhaps the family car broke down. It is basic human nature in normal families to take care of the kids, have some small luxury.........normal things. If that meant not being able to stick to their "anonymous" promise, then they didn't or couldn't.

Money via donations has dried up to some degree in Australian...I am told that we are the least religious place in the world......or close to it. Hedonistic bastards that we are.

This year the WTBTS cannot afford to hire the large facilities that have always been a feature of JW life in yearly assemblies. No more large conventions, unless you are personally invited to some other country and provided you have no disabilities....

This is my view from Australia. I think it ties in with all the other observations made regarding NGO and the attempts to evade future taxes, fines, scrutiny........who knows?

mrmagic, don't get me wrong by the way. If there is some evidence, I would jump on it. This sort of thing is very very hard to prove and takes expert tracking, legal proofs, computers, and on it goes...There have been some truly gifted police who have worked with other authorities globally from Australia to American and Sweden to name a few of the channels they had to plough through. It sometimes took from months to years to gather all the evidence, before there was a well co-ordinated, evenly planned ....can't think of the bloody word.....Sting?

Then the detectives and various other squads would make sure they acted in tandem so that no computer information could be wiped and multiple arrests were made.

We've had some really good interactive "attacks" between Australia the UK, Norway, Sweden, Germany.....even American and the Philippines happen. Very impressive coordination from all fronts...

So please don't get me wrong. I'm just wary about calling the WTBTS a paedophile ring. I just think they are terribly guilty of being cruel and sacrificing children and young ones to keep a "clean organization"..

Any hard evidence. Paedophile rings are something else again, we have all seen the horrific cases from time to time, that literally span the globe and make money from this crime......

You don't just refuse it. It does not work that way. It is the WTBTS that is the beneficiary, not the actual Trust. It was bequeathed to them...They could pick the bloody phone up, call the managers of the trust...said.." Well, this one goes against our Christian conscience, sell the PMorris shares off and reinvest in something that our collective conscience can live with" Puuuuleees, get real.

The value of these stocks as of April 30, 2002 were $54.43 each or a total asset worth of $19,050.00. [These shares were listed in the Asset Description section of the 990 Filings under "Consumer Staples"]

Who authorized sale of these stocks??? And interesting that just about anyone on the net could find and download copies of the HR trust fund and see..CLEARLY; that if someone on the internet could access this information......Then most definitely the WTBTS did too.!
