i hired an employee last year out of desperation since medical transcriptionist in this area are extremely hard to find.
this person had experience and had been employed at one place for a long time so i thought i would give this person a try.
I fired someone about a month ago. She cried, that was a little weird. Although she was on a probation period didnt make it any easier. Im in management and thats part of my job. (very small part)
In our corperate office many heads would roll if talking was a fire-able offense. Im not talking about chit-chat here and there. But people hanging out talking and BS-ing a good half of the day then complain they have some much to do. I dont get it.
while talking with mom(active dub) this morning, i said " aren't you glad i was never baptised so you can still talk and have a mother son relationship'?
her response shocked me in that she said it wouldn't matter your still my son.
and she would be able to talk with me, just cannot discuss the jw religion.. i was always under the impression you would be shunned for the rest of your life, unless you went through the chain of command for reinstatement.
The situation is different if the disfellowshipped or disassociated one is a relative living outside the immediate family circle and home. It might be possible to have almost no contact at all with the relative. Even if there were some family matters requiring contact, this certainly would be kept to a minimum, in line with the divine principle: "Quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person [or guilty of another gross sin], . . . not even eating with such a man."

Thanks blacksheep. I like this because its officially from the wtbs website. Something I can definitly foward to mom. I think for mom its flavor of the week as far as doctrine is concerned.
The point being is "what ifs" the relationship would have been foresaken and the towers could care less.

i'm a 4th generation dub and i was the epitome of a goodie-two-shoes elder's son.
i was taught/brainwashed that dating was evil and only for mature brothers (i distinctly remember a part on the assembly with a "demonstration" that said even 24 years old was too young to date and you should concentrate on becoming a ms or pioneer first) and went through so much soul-destroying guilt because of the society's utterly ridiculous stance on masturbation that it almost drove me to suicide.
didn't help that my father the elder had a massive porn stash.
My brother and I where born into the cult. We where basically each others support system. We where the bad long haired witness boys. They new we were always up to something but never got busted. Funny thing is that's what the squeaky clean sisters seemed to be interested in.We were both sexually active while members of the congregation. It was a game really.
Of course we both looked at how our father rejected the "truth" he was out of the picture most of the time. Eventually the both of us were da'ed for dating worldly girls and smoking pot, cigarettes, and drinking.
As far as relationships, I'm divorced, remarried for 12 years now. Its good. My brother has been married 22years. Its good for them. Were still very close.
I would say get some counseling, seriously address the issues you bring here.
I wouldnt give this cult the satisfaction. Move on.
